A slower mode of transport than he is used to...Niki Lauda relaxes at his girlfriends home near Salzburg. A sensational series of Grand Prix wins have brought this relatively unknow Austrian driver right into limelight and it seems that nothing can stop him from being the 1975 champion.

Niki Lauda seen in the paddock at Brands Hatch in the summer of 1983 during a tyre testing session, he was driving for the MacLaren team that year and went on to win the championship the following year. I waited ages to get some pictures of him here and was told by a pro journalist to not waste my time as he would not let anyone take photos or give an autograph, eventualy he came out of a trailer and slipped down some steps , I gave him a hand up and he let me take some photos and gave me an autograph, the journalist had just given up waiting about a minute earlier !
