A very large palm leaf that is bombarded with variable light through the arched windows of the Conservatory of Flowers.

Another Large-red Damselfly...Pyrrhosoma nymphula.

On dead bracken stalk at

Crowle Moor Nature Reserve, Lincolnshire, England.

Although we had a sunnier day than expected, there was a fair bit of cloud and that meant some upper wing shot opportunities.

Wakodahatchee Wetlands.

As it is the time of year & first Large Red Damselflies have been reported, I thought to upload some shots from my archives not posted before. Doubt if I will see any this year.

Starcross, Devon, England.

A large tern with a massive yellow bill. Prefers inland freshwater bodies. A lifer found on a "field birding" (vs. "feeder birding") trip to Colombia in the Casanare region. Hato La Aurora.

This is on our property and the buck is used to seeing me but of course he is prepared to leave if I head in his direction. I refer to this buck as 'Bully Boy' because he chases all the other deer so he can pig out on the treats.

Lucky to see these large white butterflies as these did not see to like the purple buddleja much
