It's Monday again and time for my flower greeting. And this time in multi-million versions.
Strictly speaking, oilseed rape is not a flower, but a agricultural crop, but it flowers, as is easy to see. So that still counts.
Since the location of the fields changes every year, I'm always curious to see where I can find some. And every year I am amazed at how this bright yellow carpet changes the look of long-known landscapes.
In keeping with this, I wish you a bright and colorful week with many nice surprises.
Es ist mal wieder Montag und damit Zeit für meinen Blumengruß. Und dieses Mal in multi- millionenfacher Ausführung.
Genau genommen ist Raps ja keine Blume, sondern eine Nutzpflanze, doch er blüht, wie unschwer zu kennen ist. Also zählt das trotzdem.
Da die Lage der Felder sich jedes Jahr verändert, bin ich jedes Jahr neugierig zu sehen, wo ich welche finde. Und jedes Jahr bin ich überrascht, wie sich der Anblick lange bekannter Landschaften durch diesen leuchtend gelben Teppich verändert.
Passend dazu wünsche ich Euch eine leuchtende und farbenfrohe Woche mit vielen schönen Überraschungen.

The Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren is a church tower in Amersfoort. The late-Gothic structure is 98.33 meters high (measured up to the rooster) and extends high above the city center. It is therefore one of the most eye-catching monuments in the city and is the third highest church tower in the Netherlands. The tower has the nickname "Lange Jan". The tower originally belonged to a church that disappeared in the 18th century.
The organisation "Stralend Middelpunt Nederland Foundation" launched a crowdfunding campaign in 2013 to raise money for new lighting for the Onze Lieve Vrouwetoren. The lamps that lit the tower were no longer allowed and written off and had to be replaced. Light designer Jeroen Jans made a design for a light artwork. The project was realized in 2014 and consists of 132 LED luminaires that illuminate the tower from outside and inside. The new lighting was put into use on November 1, 2014

The tower is located in Huisduinen and the status is active. Construction started in 1877, the opening was on April 1, 1878. Since 1988 it is a monument. It has a group flash, 4 flashes per 20 sec. the luminosity is 5,200,000 cd and has a range of 30 nautical miles (55km). The height is 55.5 meters with 284 steps. The weight is 506.1 tons. Not surprising since it is made of cast iron. 1088 plates of 3 cm thick have been processed in the sixteen-sided tower. Those plates are secured with 21,446 bolts. The foundation consists of 249 piles. There are 17 floors with iron floor.

Het heeft een groepschitterlicht, 4 schitteringen per 20 sec. de lichtsterkte is 5.200.000 cd en heeft een reikwijdte van 30 zeemijl (55km). De hoogte is 55,5 meter met 284 treden. Het gewicht is 506,1 ton. Niet verwonderlijk daar hij van gietijzer gemaakt is. Er zijn 1088 platen van 3 cm dik verwerkt in de zestienzijdige toren. Die platen zijn met 21.446 bouten vastgezet. De fundering bestaat uit 249 palen. Er zijn 17 verdiepingen met vloer van ijzer.

Ten ZW van Ruinen in Drenthe ligt het fraaie, nieuwe natuurgebied 'Lange Weiden'.
Nog niet zo lang geleden groeide hier mais en liep er vee rond ! Nu een schitterend vogelparadijs in wording !!
Het terrein is van SBB en niet toegankelijk, maar vanaf de
'Wold Aaweg' heeft u een goed overzicht.
