A long driveway running through the Stoneleigh Abbey estate used to pass over this bridge. The once single track Rocky lane to running to Ashow village used to run under it until a by-pass (A46) was constructed between it and Kenilworth in the early 1970s. It's now only accessed by foot via a footbridge apart from a small section at the Ashow end which is used as access to a private dwelling above and to the left of this bridge.

Thank you very much for taking the time to view, fav's and comment on my photos!

Early winter on a late pewter light afternoon...the aged maples are spreading their skeletal branches once again. I have revisited this farm lane many times this past year only to discover new nuances of beauty and a lasting serenity like none other. The terrain is high here and the wind sweeps across the farmland with a pulsating rhythm and audible breathe. Birds scurry and abandon themselves to flight while the crisp air clings to the lungs and sheds aromas of seasonal earthiness. Ashfield, MA

Near Castle Combe. We suddenly decided, this morning, that as neither of us has ever been to Castle Combe village, and we hadn't just gone somewhere for a day for a while, that we would drive to Castle Combe and have a wander. We drive a Hybrid car, which is not perfect, environmentally, but better than many, so off we tootled with Baxter....It's a charming village, and the lanes around are all bedecked with autumn colour!

Everywhere in the small village around Monet's home were flower lined lanes. Everyone was into making this area a tribute to Monet and his gardens. The whole village is a garden.

And let me crawl inside your veins

I'll build a wall, give you a ball and chain

It's not like me to be so mean, you're all I wanted

Just let me hold you

Took a late night walk and caught what I believe is the best angle of this bridge. Hope you like it as well :)

Heading to work on a wet morning. In the hills the roads were icy and there were several accidents.

At number 6 you will find "Centrespace" an independent and sustainable community of artists and craftspeople offering both studio space, workshops, events and a gallery space for hire. Leonard lane a medieval thoroughfare following the inner line of the City walls. The double yellow lines indicate that it still retains full highway status, although at the Corn Street end it is probably less than 1 metre wide.

I never know where the light will lead me, I just follow and try to capture the scene as it was at that moment. I was not surprised at how light and fog can change a simple road into something from a dream. On this morning the light was darkened by the thick fog creating an eerie world of mystery. I found this small lane off a side road. When the unexpected happens, we must be ready.

If my memory serves me well this was once a print works.

Shot of one of the many paths and lanes that criss cross the beautiful Moss Valley, on the Derbyshire / South Yorkshire border... its a sad thought that this whole area could soon be in the hands of Fracking Contractors
