Scenic hike to Stavbrekktjønna lake in the Breiddalen valley of Norway.
The road to this area is only accessible from late May to November due to deep snow and avalanches. Snow remains here even in summer and gives the impressive natural views a special colorful beauty.

Long Point Lighthouse, one of the most photographed landmarks on the Northeast Coast of Newfoundland, is located at Crow Head, Twillingate.
More than 300 feet above sea level, this is a lookout point where thousands of visitors every year enjoy the panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean with the possibility of viewing icebergs, whales, seals and sea birds.
Once operated by several full-time lighthouse keepers, it guided ships safely on foggy and stormy nights. Today, the lighthouse is still operational but is now operated by only one lighthouse keeper year-round.

A new edit and crop of an old favourite image from my days of living in this wonderful part of Tasmania.
This was taken on Tasmania's north coast at Table Cape near Wynyard. It was definitely one of our favourite places to visit at any time of year, but we loved it in tulip season.
This is a stitched panorama taken 16 years ago (from the date of posting this) and was taken with my first real digital camera, the Canon S3 IS with a whopping 6mp of resolution. Tilting it on its side for this panorama made it into a much bigger image with as many as ten images stitched in the original panorama. This is one half of that stitched panorama.
I love being out in wild weather. This is near Sligachan on the Isle Of Skye as a hail storm meets the mountains.
I noticed today it is nine months since I posted a picture of my favourite boat. How time flies. This was from may 2019 when I spent a few days in the Scottish Highlands.
Last May (2019) I spent some time in the Scottish Highlands which meant I had to go and see my favourite boat; the MV Dayspring.
Here she is shot in sunny weather with Ben Nevis in the background. She has been in this position since she foundered during a bad storm on December 8th 2011 on the shore near Corpach in the Scottish Highlands. The tide has never been high enough since to re-float the boat so she remains here stuck on land rotting away. She is still privately owned.
You all know how I love to photograph this boat. It is a sad but beautiful sight to me. I have become very attached to this boat. To me it has become part of the landscape here.
Here is some of her history

I headed out for a little drive just West of the city on this day. It was so pretty!
