Installed on the river terrace of Somerset House, Portrait was created by designers Fredrikson Stallard. The Corten steel form imitated a plank of wood, the shape magnified and transformed using a combination of steel and light to recreate the familiar grain structure.

The steel beam that was signed by students and facutly/staff on the first day of school, was put in place in the new dining room area. (Oct 2011) Students were able to tour the dining room to see the progress and look at the beam.
At the Southbank Centre, Paul Cocksedge was commissioned by the London Design Festival organizers to produce an installation for its Size + Matter initiative. His creation of Drop, a huge metal coin (as if dropped from the heavens by a giant) proved popular with people of all ages who willingly stuck pennies onto the magnetized surface, turning it from bronze to copper.

Betsy commented: "The girls absolutely loved being able to see the space today," one Form V student said, “This is going to be so amazing—we switch sides of the dining room and get windows!”
For LDF2010 artist and designer Stuart Haygarth collaborated with leading framing company John Jones to create a dramatic installation on the grand marble staircase leading to the Architecture Galleries.
