Der älteste Kirchenbau Erfurts wurde im 8. Jahrhundert grundgelegt.

Multnomah Falls is a waterfall on the Oregon side of the Columbia River Gorge, located east of Troutdale, between Corbett and Dodson, along the Historic Columbia River Highway. The falls drops in two major steps, split into an upper falls of 542 feet (165 m) and a lower falls of 69 feet (21 m), with a gradual 9 foot (3 m) drop in elevation between the two, so the total height of the waterfall is conventionally given as 620 feet (189 m). Multnomah Falls is the tallest waterfall in the State of Oregon. It is credited by a sign at the site of the falls as the second tallest year-round waterfall in the United States but that claim is debated among waterfall experts

It was an interesting afternoon of photography in Glacier National Park Montana as showers moved across the mountains which resulted in periods of rain alternating with glimpes of the sun. The light was interesting. This photo was taken when sunlight hit the mountains for a minute. This shuttle stop is located where The Going-To-The-Sun Highway makes a hairpin turn known as The Loop on the west side of the Continental Divide. On the Skyline in this photo Clements Mountain is on the right; Mount Oberlin is on the right center; Logan Pass in the left center and The Garden Wall is on the left side. On the mountainside beneath the Garden Wall, the trace of the highway as it climbs to the pass can be seen. Parking can be difficult along the Going-To-The-Sun Highway can be difficult during peak visitation. The shuttle system offers rides for hikers and others that want to park their car but get to other sites along the route.
Snapshot with the mobile phone. It was raining, and in the photo, the fine drizzle looked like photo noise, so I removed it. However, a hint of water mist still clings to the tower.
The Berlin TV Tower (constructed between 1965 and 1969) is the tallest structure in Germany, standing at 368 m (1,207 ft), but it's not the highest building tough (this is a bank tower in Frankfurt, but compared to world famous sky scrapers, it is still small with its 259 m (850 ft) without antenna).
The tower was built by the German Democratic Republic (East Germany) and was intended to be a symbol of the technological advancements of the socialist state.
Another fun fact: during the construction of the Berlin TV Tower, East Germany faced financial difficulties. To continue the project, they received financial support from West Germany. This collaboration was somewhat ironic, given the political divide between the two German states at the time.

Begin as a log cabin in 1810, this site, with it's carriage house to the left, is now owned by the Indiana Landmarks and is available for weddings and events....incredible view of the Ohio River Valley.
Another shot of Silbury Hill. This shot is from a higher altitude and shows the top of the hill. The general public are not permitted to climb the hill, so the last time I saw the top was as a young child in the 1970's.

Hertford Bridge, often called the Bridge of Sighs, is a skyway joining two parts of Hertford College over New College Lane in Oxford, England. Its distinctive design makes it a city landmark. The bridge is often referred to as the Bridge of Sighs because of its supposed similarity to the better known Bridge of Sighs in Venice. (Wikipedia)
Sassolungo/Langkofel (3,181 meters/10,417 feet) on the left and Sassopiatto/Plattkofel, 2,958 meters (9,678 feet) on the right side, both part of the Sassolungo Group in the Italian Dolomites mountain range. They are the landmark of the Alpe di Siusi, Europe's largest high-altitude Alpine meadow, about 20 kilometers northeast of Bolzano in South Tyrol.
Whether summer or winter, this place has got a magic beauty.
The building in the foreground is the Sage Gateshead built on the banks of the river Tyne. It has won many awards for its imaginative design. The bridge in the background is the Tyne bridge opened in 1928.
The Cagsawa Ruins (also spelled as Kagsawa or Cagsaua) are the remnants of an 16th-century Franciscan church, the Cagsawa church. It was built in 1587 but was burned down by the marauding Dutch in 1636. However, it was reconstructed again in 1724 by Fr. Francisco Blanco. In February 1, 1814, Mayon Volcano caused its most violent and deadly eruption that engulfed the surrounding houses and killed nearly 2,000 people who took refuge inside the church. Only the belfry of the Cagsawa church remains as a grim and silent testimony of that fateful day. For almost two hundred years, it has withstood the test of time and the elements to become one of the most recognizable landmarks of Albay Province. The ruins are located in Barangay Busay, Cagsawa, in the municipality of Daraga, Albay, Philippines.
Quite a bit to see in this scene on Ynys Llanddwyn - This tidal island features the ruins of St Dwynwen's Church, a lighthouse & views of Snowdonia. Went for a saturated look moderate some of the darker reds and greens.
The peninsula Eiderstedt chose the lighthouse on Westerhever Sand as their landmark.

A very special tree. Looking fresh, healthy, and in bud, as spring begins. A sign of hope for us all.
A monument to longevity, this California buckeye, a native, grows on the UC Berkeley campus. You can see by its spring foliage that it is doing well. May it be a sign and an encouragement to us humans, as we seek to survive and carry on.
The tree, standing a stone's throw from Strawberry Creek (which flows through campus), is believed to date from the 1880s. The Berkeley campus was established in the 1870s.
Happy TmT!
