Just like this Reddish Egret. We arrived home safely last Thursday afternoon and now are in a 'sheltering in place" quarantine mode. We are both well and just playing it safe.
Hoping that everyone had a super, grreat and safe weekend.
I;m by-passing one image I wanted to post in this series but moved on to the landing series and this being the best of the lot and the most whimsical. As you can see it over shot the runway and almost flipped back into the water, as you can see.
As always folks thank you for everything.
....Amur falcon
View in large.
Taken at Masirah Island, Oman
Its right wing has a wound if you could notice. I saw a Common Kestrel mobbing this bird several times.
The Amur falcon (Falco amurensis) is a small raptor of the falcon family. It breeds in south-eastern Siberia and Northern China before migrating in large flocks across India and over the Arabian Sea to winter in Southern Africa

In the early morning, near our lodging "Baccoleno", I searched for a suitable location for the sunrise and landed in the middle of a freshly plowed field.
In der Nähe unserer Unterkunft "Baccoleno" suchte ich früh morgens einen geeigneten Standort für den Sonnenaufgang und landete mitten in einem frisch gepflügten Acker.

The little burrowing owlets keep themselves busy flying all around the burrow and this image was captured just as one landed. They are so playful and full of life that it is an awesome way to spend a few hours !!!
Wishing you a lovely and blessed Sunday !!!!
Caineville or often referred to as “Swingarm City” is a dirt bike heaven. Some of the best freestyle motocrossers come here to ride and jump some of the biggest natural jumps in the world. Caineville has open riding terrain with large, steep hills and drop offs, as well as technical single track trails and ridge-line trails.
An echo of my name went over the great plains of destiny and destination.
So I went running to see him again.
I took that leap feeling fully recovered and fully grown.
Not plucked; of my own accord.
I landed ever so gently. A sigh of relief. No longer attached to loneliness and the unknown.
So I came running to see him again.
Singing, I sent back my voice penetrating the many dimensions and filling the space that still lies between us. A confirmation of full bloom and rediness to be welcomed home.
So I went running to see him again.
He was in the time of many transitions, trials, and tribulations, but I knew one day these would cease and when the air cleared the divide between us would be no more.
He would come running to see me again.
Finding joy in the wait, yet still longing for his warmth and ways, I settled in a peaceful nest. Life and strife keep me busy until that time; that day....
When he comes running to see me again.
Thank you all for your kind favs and comments. I shall come knock on your door for a visit soon. Happy Sunday Flickr Friends!
Black-shouldered Kite (Elanus axillaris) juvenile
Back to this day last year for the wings today, a bit of a crazy day with lots of interruptions and kids on school holidays.
The three chicks were getting quite competent by this time but landings were sometimes still a bit tricky.
Happy Wing Wednesday!
Perlan Reykjavik
Perlan (English: The Pearl) is a prominent landmark in the Icelandic capital of Reykjavík. It is situated on the top of Öskjuhlíð hill. What was originally a cluster of hot water tanks was in 1991 converted to a beautiful building open to the public. It hosts an exhibition, a planetarium, an observation deck, and a restaurant. (wiki)
At the Japanese Water Gardens the railing overlooking the pond was scattered with these little golden leaves. A must click for me!
