A common workhorse for the professional class across Jamaica and other parts of the developing world, the Prado is in its fourth generation and looks set to remain for a long time to come. Americans can still purchase the Prado as a Lexus GX.

The Toyota 4Runner is a compact, later a mid-size sport utility vehicle built 1983-09, over five generation, also known as the Toyota Hi-Lux or Hi-Lux Srf
The third generarion was developed under chief designer Masaaki Ishiko nder the project code 185T, with an all new body shell and chassis, sharing many of its parts, including engine and transmission, with the new Tacoma pick up truck. Despite moving upmarket with the rest of the mid-size SUV market, the new 4Runner differentiated itself by retaining the rugged off-road characteristics. Significant changes from the second generation models include a larger body on a longer wheelbase, increased interior space, increased cargo space, dual airbags, ABS, lift-up tailgate, coil-spring suspension all around, rack and pinion steering, and aerodynamic contour designed glass headlights.
In 1996, the 4Runner was dropped from sale in the UK, to be replaced by the Toyota Land Cruiser Prado, which was badged as the Toyota Land Cruiser Colorado., but contued in Japan until 2002, with many coming to the UK as personal or grey imports.
The 1997 model year received a few minor updates, including the addition of a colour keyed cargo cover.

Another obscure import; it is simply sold as 'Land Cruiser' in Europe.
This brand new Prado is about as clean as can be, so no need for this gentleman's windshield washing services. That didn't stop him from asking though - always gotta try and make a quick buck where you can.
The Prado is a smaller version of the LC, a off-road model launched in the 50s. The Prado is the only one available here, we didn't get the bigger LC but the Sequoia. The 4-door model comes with a V6 4.0 engine while the 2-door comes with a 2.7 liter engine.
