Lamb chops w/mushrooms. Wilted Chard and cress, and crostini as sides.
Lamb chops: EVOO, touch of cumin, and S and P grilled on lump and some oak chunks
Mushrooms: baked shallots in foil w/EVOO and thyme sprigs on grill. Chopped those up and threw them in 2 tbls duck fat w/rosemary. Then sauteed mushrooms in that and put onto lamb.
Chard: Let EVOO slowly simmer in pan with 4 chopped garlic cloves for 15 minutes, then turned up and tossed in Chard. Added chopped cress and a bit of Oregano at the end.

Last weekend I was faced with a dilemma. The farm that we buy our lamb from at our local farmers' market was having an open house. Did I really want to go and see our future lamb chops? On one hand, I didn't. On the other, the vendor told me they would have samples of recipes to encourage sales. I went, wandered around the barn briefly and took photos, then went to sample lamb dishes before making a few purchases. I hardly had a twinge of conscience.

This chair served to leave clothes on for the last five years. Since it's rapatriation to the bedroom, I sit in it all the time. To read, knit, play on my computer... I love this room!!!!

Today I went to Jitra to meet my friends during my ITM years. Met Jan, Nuri, PakMal & their families. Alhamdulillah today was extra special as we break fast at Darul Aman Golf Resort.
I'm a fan of lambchop :P and today I had a great meal.
And we was going back, the moon looks so lovely, I even shot the moon before leaving :)
Day #5 was a special day for me. :)

Everyone at the shelter was very surprised to see what Lambchop's ears looked like after the groomer trimmed off his overgrown and matted coat. He is such a little sweetiepie but he definitely has a bad case of Prince Charles Ears and looks permanently surprised as a result.
Today was OK - I went into the shelter after seeing the orthopaedist just to say hello to everyone, my arm is still too painful for me to do any of the hard work. My orthopaedist appointment went very well. There was a moment of surprise at first - turns out my ortho was the strangely familiar looking man who came by the shelter looking for a dog while I was bottlefeeding that tiny kitten on Tuesday. When I walked into the examination room he cried "That *was* you! I thought you looked familiar, but I didn't expect to see you bottlefeeding a kitten" Context is all! So we started off my appointment talking about what sort of dog would be right for him, which got things off to a very friendly start. As far as my arm goes, he prescribed me an MRI, physical therapy & vicodin. He thinks with the level of pain I'm having there is a real chance there's a serious problem, but if I'm lucky it will just be a sprain. Here's hoping!
Ik ben niet zo thuis in de drugsen, maar vermoedelijk moet dit LSD voorstellen, netjes geperforeerd in kleine vierkantjes om te snuiven. Of zoiets.
I may take this moment to point out that as a child I had a huge crush on Shari Lewis. And as an adult I like lamb chops. The cuteness factor here goes off the charts.
