lamb bhuna slowcooker recipe

1kg of cheap chunky cuts of lamb on the bone mixed with plenty of spices, chilli powder, pureed ginger, pureed onion, stock cube, tinned tomatoes, and concentrated tomato paste in the slowcooker for a few hours on low. the lamb was tender and easily came away from the bone. remainder boxed and in the freezer for as and when. lamb bhuna is a 'dry' curry

the meaning of 'bhuna'

an Indian dish or sauce in which spices are dry-roasted in a pan and then combined with a moistening agent such as yogurt or water.

the word 'bhuna' refers to the cooking method of this dish, and means 'to fry' or 'fried'. usually the spices are fried gently, before adding the meat.

originating in bengal, bhuna is a hot 'dry' curry, doesn’t come swimming in sauce. it’s usually a thick sauce, with just enough to cling to the meat

a 'dry' curry has much less liquid. the liquid is allowed to evaporate so that the sauce coats the ingredients

With lamb's distinct after taste served in the form of this hamburger, it had made it such a pleasant way to experience it's aromatic features.

Sheep and lambs seen in Felinheli, Wales.

This family friend was a lamb at our live Christmas Nativity. Her creative mom used hot glue and a bunch of cotton balls to put together this this masterpiece. She absolutely stole the show and was happy to pose for a picture.

I love lamb saag and not just because it tastes great, it is also one of the healthiest things you can eat. Saag is a leaf-based (spinach, mustard leaf, collard greens, basella, etc.) dish eaten in the Indian subcontinent with bread such as roti or naan, or rice (in Nepal, Odisha and West Bengal).

This image of a Springbok lamb was captured in the wild in the Kgalagdi.

^)(^ SORRY: I have to "slow down" (probably fewer photos, fewer input in groups, fewer comments and slower responses, etc.) for the next coming weeks, because we renovate our house ♫♪

I am very sorry about possible inconveniences ...

Takeaway Traditional Lamb Curry from the Bombay Bistro

Luscious lamb. Baby potatoes for company. The intoxicating perfume of that lemongrass - kafir lime leaves -galangal steeped curry paste. The numbing fire of chillies. The earthy sweetness of coconut cream. Stewed languorously over a mellow flame. This is food at its decadent best. Enjoy !!!

Rather earlier in the year than on the moors, these twins must be about 2 weeks old and doing well!

Mum looks to be a Texel or Texel X and, judging by the black face of the one on the right, Dad's a Suffolk!

olive oil www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/m001y2z6

Michael Mosley discovers that enjoying more olive oil in your daily diet can come with a whole host of surprising benefits, including protecting your brain, improving your memory and reducing chronic inflammation. The Mediterranean diet has been shown to be one of the healthiest in the world, and a major component of this is olive oil. Dr Bill Mullen from the University of Glasgow tells Michael about his recent research, which found that two tablespoons of olive oil a day can significantly reduce biological markers of heart disease. Meanwhile our volunteer Ellen, an avid home cook, reaps the benefits of switching to olive oil.
