Sorridi anche se il tuo sorriso è triste, perchè più triste di un sorriso triste c'è la tristezza di non saper sorridere.

For some time now my car has been taking me more and more to the shores of this lake.
Here the last time it was already spring.
Da un pò di tempo la mia auto mi porta sempre più spesso sulle rive di questo lago. L'ultima volta qui era già primavera.

Here from the Fortress of Angera, the view to the lake and the alpine horizon is gorgeous. I like it very much.
Qui dalla Rocca di Arona il colpo d'occhio sul lago e l'orizzonte alpino é meraviglioso. Mi piace molto.

The famous town of Stresa (Italy, 5000 inhabitants, 200 m above sea level) enjoys a splendid location on Lake Maggiore in the Gulf of Borromeo, where it overlooks the eponymous islands, the main attraction in the region. Its beautiful countryside, architectural gems and mild climate combine to make Stresa one of the most popular tourist attractions in Italy.
The Borromean Islands, pictured here, with their stunning palaces and ornamental gardens, are an unmissable destination for aesthetes.
Luxury villas and opulent Art Nouveau hotels line the elegant lakeside, which is ideal for a tranquil stroll. Since the late 19th century Stresa has been renowned for its sophisticated atmosphere and genteel visitors, and today still enjoys an impressive roster of cultural, musical and meeting events.

The Mother island is a precious jewel set in the waters of the Lake Maggiore. The events ofMother island they are linked to those of the Borromeo family from the 1502 when the first works of transformation of the island began in place of delights and private residence.
