Congratulations to Mr. Edmund Dawson. He has been awarded a Queen's Diamond Jubilee Medal for his community service.
Mr. Dawson is an outstanding citizen of the global community, whose steadfast values exemplifies his efforts to preserve our cultural heritage, and to daily make a meaningful contribution toward the improvement of the quality of life for others. Mr. Dawson displays his caring attitude through his annual Client Appreciation Event, at which time, he conducts food bank collections and matches client donations to a variety of charitable organizations throughout the province. He assists local schools with their fund raising events by purchasing and donating as prizes, seats at Mile One events. His caring for others is further exemplified through his continuous support for missions to Guatemala. Currently, in his attempt to preserve and promote our past history and culture, Mr. Dawson as a founding member of the Bay Roberts Cultural Foundation, serves as a Director. In addition, he is a major organizer and supporter of local and provincial level Heritage Fairs. He is a member of the Knights of Columbus and is active in his local church parish, serving on various committees. A truly outstanding citizen! CONGRATULATIONS, MR. DAWSON!
