I was at Eastrington Ponds shooting macro, this lovely dog appeared having been romping around in the streams. Just pointed my camera with macro lens attached and there you are!
Labrador Tea plants grow in great abundance in the boreal forest that surrounds our cabin. When I was poking around in the forest this morning - it seemed that things were growing and flowering before my eyes. The bud you see atop this stalk, will soon burst open into a bunch of tiny white flowers.
The aroma emanating from the plant is very pleasing, and some folks even make sachets to put in dresser drawers to add a nice scent to their clothing.
My black lab. She gets very excited...all the time. It's like she's the Energizer Bunny...but in dog form. :D

I had never had a Lab before. From what I understand, this variety is an English-style Labrador Retriever. The English-style Lab is bulkier looking than the trimmer American-style Lab.
He's a real sweetheart.
