LABRADOR SEA -- (Aug. 19, 2021) The USCGC Escanaba (WMEC 907) transits past an iceberg in the Labrador Sea. The Escanaba is a 270-foot Famous-class medium endurance cutter with a crew of around 100 and conducts missions emphasizing maritime security and law enforcement (U.S. Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer 3rd Class Dyxan Williams.)
The land in the distance is Labrador from L'Anse aux Meadows. The water
is so flat here because the wind is blowing from directly behind me.
I took the ferry from St. Barbe across the Staight of Belle Isle, but it landed in Blanc Sablon, Quebec,
about 5 km to the Labrador border. In a moment of thrift, I didn't bring
the car across, and I didn't have time to walk the distance. In fact,
between the sea on the trip over (much rougher than what's here) and the
food on the ship, I didn't do all that much walking or even take many
pictures so this is the only picture I have of Labrador.

Mom said she's very proud of both of us!
So she gave us a new collar with new name tags; this time made with aluminum. We told her that we didn't like the plastic ones, they were very crunchy but tasted awful!!!

Beau came to us with bad teeth and gingivitis. He had 7 teeth removed last Saturday. His gums already look a lot better. The vet recommended that I start daily home dental care next week.
