In Belgium Labour Day falls on 1st May, International Workers' Day, and the Lily of the Valley with its delicate scent is its symbolic flower.

This year Labour Day is not like other years: no demonstrations, and not the real day-off feeling for most people, since most of us have been at home for several weeks now. Most people would LOVE to return to work!

Seeing that it's back to school week, it seems appropriate to post an image of some pilots who've got a degree in "Higher Learning" with their Harvard monoplanes!

The Harvard was created over 60+ years ago to train pilots

for light bombing, gunnery, night formations and aerobatics.

Still well maintained, these 4 incredible pilots put the planes through their manoeuvres at the recent 2017 Canadian International Air Show!

Labour Day is a day off work, and this time, I decided to drive around the countryside. We've ended near Otok, a village next to Metlika, Slovenia, where this WWII-era Douglas C-47 Skytrain transport aircraft serves as a memorial for an Allied airport that operated there during the final two years of WWII.

Taken with an ancient Pentax K100D Super digital camera and a much more recent smc Pentax-DA L 18–50mm F4–5.6 DC WR RE kit lens.

Monday, September 5th, is Labour Day in both Canada and the USA. Labour Day is always on the first Monday of September every year. I wish ALL MY FLICKR FRIENDS A VERY HAPPY HOLIDAY.
