Close up of a label on a bottle of wine. I was trying to emphasize the transition from shadow to light areas on both the bottle and the cork. This was a vertical shot to the half bottle (375ml) which I cropped to emphasize the label and cork. I opened up the shadows slightly as the label was quite a bit darker than I wanted. Also sharpened a bit to bring the text as well as the textures of the cork and paper label to the fore.
My young nieces love playing with the hats my parents inherited from my grandmother. I noticed this in the label of one of them yesterday. Strange that a hat would get made that shouldn't be worn in the rain. At least it is to me, but I'm a boy. Apparently this kind of insanity is actually common.

i labeled this picture as best i could. it's hard to make sense of it really unless you're with me and i can point to where everything is on my body.
my body parts are in blue.
baby's parts are in green.
and the placenta is labeled in teal.
basically the baby is facing my back, head up with the head right behind my belly button.
it's lower body (legs) are hiding behind my left hip bone.
when it kicks it kicks me directly in the bladder. and the placenta is on the front basically between baby and the front of my tummy.

Was wondering if anyone had any plush toys from this line, Kool Kats.
I got mine for Christmas 1987. Don't know much about the line, I've never seen another one like him until a few days ago.
He came attached to a piece of cardboard, inside a cardboard trashcan. He originally wore a sling and you could attach velcro band-aids on his body. I have lost all the bandages and thew the cardboard can away a long time ago. He didn't come with that Hawian shirt, that was something I added to him from some other purple bear that I owned.
I named him Spike because of his spiky loking hair. Sounds appropriate. My parents washed him sometime ago so that he could be with me while I stayed in the ICU for several months They pretty much mutilated him and his hair isn't so spiky anymore. They fixed him up using medical tape - and for the longest time that was the way that he was.
So many memories with him. I don't think I could ever trade him for anything.
Looking for more like him so if you have any of these guys I'd really like to buy them for a reasonable price. Message me.

I went down to the new VAC gallery in Northwich to doodle on the big canvas that's travelling round the world apparently. All the drawings were supposed to be themed around the memorial Hall which is being demolished soon. My memory of it was sparked by the annual North West Matchbox Label Swap Meet which we always enjoyed- buying heaps of wonderful colourful labels from India and other exotic places for just a few pence. My scribble doesn't really do them justice!
