This is a wine label I made for my package design class in Winter 2008. I was assigned to make a wine label using an existing wine bottle.
I chose Japanese rice wine to design a label of plum wine. The targeted audience is female (early 20s to mid 30s). I designed it to be a good gift to any occasions. I tried to give floating feeling to the bottle (because people feel floating when they are drunk, right?) by putting the die-cut flower.

now it has to age as all rich Pinot Noir must! in 9 months it will become vibrant starting with fizzy juicy fruit on the tongue then finishing in leather tannins. Res wine tbat goes brillintly with everyrthing.
The label says it is a cross between hoosai (= sinense) and chun lan (=goeringii) but it looks like a meristem of some sort. Both the flowers and foliage are outlined in white. The flowers are 1.5" across (4 cm). Purchased from a vendor from Taiwan.
These oval-shaped self adhesive labels have been produced by our label printers for gardening and horticulture specialist suppliers William Sinclair. They will be applied to the “New Horizon” range of Multi-purpose container compost which has been awarded the “Which? Best Buy” prize in both 2010 and 2011. The label printing team at Etiquette manufacture these printed labels using the latest UV ink technology on one of our custom materials and once inspected by our Quality Control department they will be delievered to another happy customer.
