I accidentally used the nut chopper to blend some pastry. Luckily, my mother discovered this and has ensured that such a terrible confusion never arises again.
I'm in a swap-bot swap for fabric postcards with labels so I pulled out fabrics bits, labels, and supersolvy and had a grand old time!

Coming off the press are these great looking printed labels for Cox and Rawle fishing hooks. As innovators and technology leaders in the design and production of quality fishing hooks and rigs, Cox and Rawle looked to Etiquette to provide the label manufacture that would add the finishing touches to their outstanding products. Our label printing team produced 2 labels of different sizes on a special card material using 3 colours in the latest UV inks technology. As well as attractive and contemporary artwork, the labels feature a perforation across their centre that allows them to be folded in half as part of the final packaging process in which the hooks are inserted into clear bags. With the customer requiring the printing of variable information onto both folded sides of the label, our printers produced a registration mark to the rear that would enable accurate label-gap sensing when used with an Etiquette TTP-245C thermal transfer printer. Additionally, the customer has also tasked Etiquette with printing a Quick Response (QR) Code onto the label that can be scanned with a smart phone by an end user and will direct them to the Cox and Rawle website where further product information can be obtained.

Gave boss a Banana Bunker for Christmas. He labeled it just in case people might think it some kind of phallic device.
Warning labels should identify all electrical components and mark and address both shock (voltage) and arc flash hazards. Shock occurs upon contact of a (human) body with any source of electricity that causes a sufficient current through the skin, muscles or hair. Arc flash is a short circuit through the air. The concentrated radiant energy explodes outward from the electrical equipment, and can spread hot gases, melt metal, and creating pressure waves that can damage hearing, eye sight or brain function.
One of the labels which Fiorucci operated in the late 80s. Opposite their main Kings Road store was the CN outlet, nothing to do with the shop/label of nearly the same name - Classics Nouveaux - operated by Willie Brown in the early part of the decade. Fioruccis was very preppy.
In case it wasn't obvious, I decided to label the main subject of this image.

Description: Mock up for label of can of Ambrosia creamed rice. SH.2009.9.1 layers of printed material to make artwork mounted on card. Artwork includes printers' notes detailing changes to be made to artwork. Label reads ' Ambrosia creamed rice. 1 1/2p off next can. Milk pudding. Label also includes cooking instructions. SH.2009.9.2 Colour label stuck to tracing paper which includes printers' notes. Label reads Ambrosia creamed rice. At least 1p off recommended price. Milk pudding.

Further Notes: Original artwork created by Smith & Ritchie. Smith and Ritchie were established in Edinburgh in 1853. The firm were multi colour offset printers who were specialist suppliers to the food packaging industry. They were located at Amphion Works in Albert Street. In 1963 Smith & Ritchie became the first printing company in Scotland to use a gravure press and produced reel fed work up to five colours. Smith & Ritchie moved to Livingston in 1986 and in 1991 became the first printing firm in Scotland to use a 10 station gravure press.
Smith & Ritchie have subsequently moved out to Livingston and survive today as Amcor Flexibles S & R. Amcor are originally an Australian company and now have operations in 36 countries around the world specialising in many printed products of which the food packaging that Amcor Flexibles S & R is one.
History: Smith & Ritchie were located at 71 Albert Street, Edinburgh.
