A scene at Gurnard Luck, Isle of Wight, recorded on the 27th of August 2019.

Have you ever wondered what it's like to have good luck? Sometimes we believe that it is to be born in the cradle of rich people, but I think that being lucky is being able to have the daily opportunity to continue breathing.

Wishing team USA good luck in its World Cup game against Portugal today.

Small elephant (about 3 cm. tall), with its trunk raised up. I received it from a friend, when my daughter was born, to bring us good luck :)

In this case, the room is a waiting room for patients and is empty.

A rare stroke of luck on Saturdays for the outpatient on-call emergency service.

CP 645 heads over the trestle west of South Haven in the Clearwater River valley, just narrowly avoiding a cloudbang. I've always wanted a shot of this bridge, although it's a bit grown in now, the shot here is still quite nice. Apparently, if you see a car running here with what looks like nobody in it, you probably shouldn't look too far into it...

This past Saturday I left Miami in the morning and started a mini-road trip to Chicago for my move with my new airline I'll be working for. I had a few stops planned along the way with a stops in Nashville & Louisville to see some friends, what I didn't expect was this. I had no buffing planned except for the Lucas Oil Railroad - that will come soon.

Saturday I got to Nashville late, woke up around 9am Sunday, and checked my phone and found a text from a friend saying CSX 4568 is heading to Nashville on I14105, nothing more, so I did some quick research of an area I had no idea about and determined it was the Mainline Sub and I did some asking to some friends back home with good source technology and was able to determine a location.

I scrambled to leave the hotel and made my way to Franklin, KY, while I was hoping to get a shot with the intown Feed Elevator, I140 was coming north so the sun turned before I could, so I settle for a little side road just on the outskirts of town and this was the result after waiting about 2 hours of sitting around and watching I140 come through.

Seen is CSX I14105 running through Franklin, KY with CSXT 4568 (OLS) about to knock down the 134.9 Intermediate Signal after rolling through town.

To quote my good friend Tolga "you have some fucking good luck buffing" my reply “I just take pictures”.

In a lucky patch of sun 37403 passes Omrsgill with 2c41 Barrow-Carlisle. Taken on the bridge in the background of the other shot. Was surprised to see this out on the coast today after having spent the past week working down south in partnership with 'Caroline'...it should've been 37401.

Talk about luck, there is nothing better than catching a Northern Cardinal in the very late evening sun as he reflects the light with the glow of a Christmas tree bulb! This male had been hiding in the tree, not sure of me, but then as I patiently waited he clambered out onto a high limb, clear of the branches. What a beautiful bird!

There is no photo manipulation in this shot. I took this shot while cruising down the South Branch of the Chicago River. The building with all the windows was the focus point and the reflections are from the other side of the river. When I went to process this shot, I realized that there was another building in the background that closely mimiced the building in the reflection as to width and lining up with the building reflection. Dumb luck I say :-)

Location: Worldwide. We all need a little luck in such a difficult time of coronavirus.

Photographing waders in flight is a challenge, but doing it while doing turns and pirouettes is almost a matter of luck.

Black bellied plover (Pluvialis squatarola) turning in flight without losing sight of me.

It's interesting what appears in long exposures that is completely ordinary with the naked eye....

More coolness with an LED hula hoop (and a circus performer to wield it)

I had the best surprise yesterday with a little notification popping up in Discord that someone had mentioned me by name. It was Lori, in the Stealthic channel, announcing me as one of three giveaway winners. And not just any giveaway - the prize was all of August's new release hairstyles! You could have heard my jaw hit the floor 10 miles way! So here I am, modelling just one of the styles (I showed off Shade on 19th August), the Espresso, which you can still get at Equal10 until the 5th. Oh, and join the Discord channel to be in the running for more giveaways, sneak peeks at WIP and chat with an awesome bunch of peeps!

I stumbled over that 4 leaf clover in the morning :)

Sometimes it's just luck. I went home for lunch to let out Lily. While outside I looked and saw this ugly Turkey Vulture sitting on a tree with its wings spread opened. It sat there like this while I ran in the house to grab my camera and get some shots before it flew away.

Eva and pieces of luck

not easy to photograph

Clearly a railroad about out of time, this eastbound Dead Freight looks its name, a motley collection of low-priority loads but mostly empties pulled by a clapped-out collection of oil-leaking, smoke-belching locomotives years past their prime. On November 10, 1979, this 85-car train passes the salvaged siding of Corfu, west of Othello, Washington, behind U28B 5511, U30B 5609, U25B 5056, GP9s 280 and 285, and GP35 1500.

I give up today. I've had enough sense of being a failure to last me a lifetime. Good luck day 75.

Things have been looking up. The things that are wrong with my car are actually under warranty. Who woulda thought! Annoying thing: not having a car for a couple days.
