"Force" is local dialect for "falls", (derived from the Norse "Foss") and does not reflect the power of the river. These are the lower major falls on the river Tees, 2 miles below High Force.

St Charles creek has nearly dried up, leaving a green layer of algae on exposed mud. The vast open space is the marsh in Bear Lake National Wildlife Refuge in southeastern Idaho.
A particularly low tide coinciding with dusk enabled me to get a shot of Tower Bridge from this location. There wasn't too much wind either, helping with the reflections.

Trip to the beach with the family on one of our very low,low tide day's. Lot's of Clam's, Crab's and other Sea Creature's from the deep. Edmond's Washington..
Before we ever got to Sylvan Lake there was this stream with a low water bridge, which I just learned are also called an Irish Bridge. I took this photo while we were sitting on the bridge. And yes Anita got out and walked on the bridge which was .... of course covered in water! The fall color is about gone and the wind is Fierce here today so I expect it will take care of whatever leaves are left on the trees, and hopefully blow most of them out of my yard so I don't have to deal with them!!
The North Esk River is tidal at the point where it meets the Tamar. If you look closely here you can see how low the tide level has fallen. That Gothic house is called "The Art House", and is a popular backpackers' place. It was built in 1888.
