I was asked to create an image of Richard and myself together representing our love and relationship towards each other accurately. And I feel there's nothing more accurate than saying that we are dreamers. Our whole relationship together has been about dreaming of the future, of what is to come, of staying together forever.

We count ourselves very lucky to live just a few miles from a state park and although we take a hike in it almost every day, we still haven’t grown tired of it. Things change throughout the year and each season has its own miracles. The way the sun makes the marsh almost sparkle while it sets has been one of my favorite sights to see lately.

I'm an early morning lover, and I must be moving on
(honoring Rick Davies, from supertramp, who passed away yesterday)
I took this picture in the train (the EuroStar), one morning where I got up way too early. Looking out the window, I noticed that the landscape was gorgeous and quickly shot the picture with my mobile phone, through the windows.
It's a mobile phone-shot picture, shot right in the direction of the sun, so the quality isn't great. I post-processed it quite a bit (using the darktable software, as always). I fought a bit with the contrast, making sure that my central point of interest (the church) was high contrast, but also enhancing the contrast on the road and trees on the lower part.
I played a bit with the colors, actually desaturating a bit the sky, and pulling some of the highlights toward yellow.
My really big intervention was that I fixed the fact that the sun in the picture was blinding part of the picture. The sun was apparent as a big white circle on the left of the picture. I wanted the focal point of the picture to be around the church. So I made the part with the sun a bit darker (moving from saturated white to yellow) and I used the retouch tool to move in some texture from the clouds in the flat circle left by the cloud. Now that I've told you I did so, I'm sure that you can see it :).
