What a happy Friday. So glad to be back in my apartment for the first time since Election day! *whew*
My first day in my 40s and I feel fricking GREAT. I'm a grown adult man.
I've actually been really happy all day. I have been looking forward to this for so long.
All I did was work. Had a very productive and exciting day at work. And I thought at one point - isn't THIS just the best possible birthday for a 40 year old man? A really great day at work?
YAY!

A quiet and shy little girl, Tessie is as lovely as she is melancholic. Even though she looks gorgeous, she can’t seem to get in touch with the exterior world very much. She is consumed by thoughts of sharing and friendship, and longs to experience those things, but just can’t seem to find anyone to be friends with.
Tessie is not particularly good at school, although she isn’t quite bad either, she’s just average. The same goes for individual sports, though when it comes to group sports for whatever reason she seems to be left out and the last one to get picked for one side or the other She loves mellow piano based tunes, and wishes she can one day become a great singer/songwriter to express her lifelong longing for friendship.
This dark blonde haired girl spends her time playing with her furry plush friends lots, has afternoon teas with them and they do pretty much everything together. Tessie is an only child, and her parents, still in their 30s, are too busy pursuing their careers to give her proper attention. Could you be the friend she’s spent her life looking for?

The expose settings of the camera was all wrong in this shoot, but at the end it turns out to be my fav one.
There is something of gloomy and melancholic that appeals very much to me :D
The only reason I like this pic is I look SO young. I have a photo ID from High School taken when I was like 15 or 16 and I swear that face above is the same face!
Only for a fleeting millisecond, but there it was.
I'm going to FIND that I.D. and scan it in just to see if I remember it right . . . !
The pic is a little blurry, which is probably where the youthful appearance comes from - it's like photoshopping out all the lines and wrinkles - *ta-da* YOUTH.

It has been brutally cold lately and Ralph usually does his business and then wants to go right back in to sit by the wood stove. Well even though it was -15F or -26C Ralph decided he wanted to do our usual walk which is about 1.5 miles round trip. I think that because I slept in he thought that he might be able to see his girlfriends, Lola and Ava! Fortunately the sun was shining wind was not blowing as we crossed along the marsh. The girls had already been out to get the newspaper and gone home so I tried to get Ralph to turn back. No way!!! He wanted to go further. After a bit of compromise we and a bit of sasslfrazzlemaglrabbits we finally headed home. He must be getting used to the colder temps as he now wants to stay out a bit longer. I'm game as long as I'm dressed for it.
These are three of the 48,000 that visit this Scottish Natural Heritage Reserve every year to breed, I only have another 47,982 photographs left to upload. :-))

An American Indian searches the riverbank for signs of his quarry. Behind him, his trusty pinto-coated horse seems to have spotted something on the far bank. The tracker is not particularly well armed for hunting game or enemies. Perhaps, he is tracking something - or someone - else, for another reason. The Kokopelli symbol decorating his horse's tack may be a clue.
