Only after looking at this photo I could fully appreciate the fine details of the painted ceiling. Taken handhold in a corridor full with moving people ;-)

We went to North Carolina to visit my brother; he lives in Mills River, close to Asheville. It's very pretty country. My wife needed a break from being in the car so I did some solo daytripping. It was a good day - I got some sightseeing in before the rain started coming down hard. I took these photos in October 2015 as part of our epic cross country road trip.
~> hello there... Tuesdays are nice, aren't they?
~> have been looking for charm... what about you?
~> these are some random shots of our winter garden taken during the past days.
~> on the right, some evidence of progress with the floors can be seen
~> played around with styling a bit, while grouping together the accessories which will most likely dress the space when it's ready.
~> the chair belongs to the veranda in the front & just came for a short visit.

This is the inside of Aberdeen University's new multi-million pound library.
The most recent building on campus is the University Library, completed in 2011 and designed by Danish architects schmidt hammer lassen. This seven-storey tower, clad in zebra-like jagged stripes of white and clear glass, replaced the smaller Queen Mother Library as the university's main library and can be seen prominently from the entire campus and much of the city. It is open to the public and outstanding views of the city and coastline are available from the upper floors. In addition to expanded facilities it also houses public exhibition space and the University's historic collections, comprising more than a quarter of a million ancient and priceless books and manuscripts that have been collected over five centuries since the University's foundations. A very good friend of me said once to me, look to yourself in the mirror and say to yourself,
you are worth it, you can do it!
Yes i can ...
This color spot shows up every sunny day as the sun shines through the bathroom window onto the carpet. But only for a few minutes!
...To some autumn colour again. This is an image from my archives as I've not been able to get out with my camera recently.

Was looking for some bird shots and saw this fellow sitting just beside a flowering water lily in one of my mom and step dad's bog ponds. p.s, the birds love to get all "dolled" up in the late afternoon here;)
LDP009 and 6009 climb the grade into Heathcote Junction as 5MB7 Aurizon intermodal service bound for Brisbane.
With SCT Logistics now operating their own services along the East Coast, Aurizon are no longer required to hook and pull their refrigerated ABSY and PGBY wagons from Melbourne to Brisbane, leaving MB/BM7 now looking rather.. incomplete.

For as long as I can remember this former Grand Trunk Western caboose has been on static display in Durand, Michigan, next to the former GTW mainline. During a June 2022 visit I noticed it had received a new coat of paint.
