At a local park not more than a few miles from my house. At low tide there is solid stretch of land that connects to the small island just right of center. This area is a designated bird sanctuary home to gulls, Canadian geese, egrets, swans, hawks, flacons and various species of mallards. This area is not recommended during hot summer days as mosquitos, deer flies and ticks will bite you to pieces.
One Spoonbill, three Ibis and a duck, resting by the pond at Mt. Coot-tha Botanic Gardens in Brisbane.
Our quaint local community of Finn Slough. You take an immediate step back in time when you arrive. It’s quite a special little community.
The new era has begun on the Canadian National's Portland line in Quebec. A swing to full GMD's has taken about a year since my first visit to the area as seen at the "farm curve" between Waterville and Compton Station. The local out of Richmond has a healthy cut of lumber for the distributor in Coaticook on this day.
A Cypress Swamp in the Mercer Arboretum north of Houston, Texas. Though it may seem otherwise, the water level is lower than usual.
The woody knobs are "cypress knees" -- they provide these tall trees oxygen, nutrients and stability not otherwise available in the primordial ooze. A bald cypress can live up to 600 years, though there are some as old as 1,000.

I'm now nearly 4 weeks into recovering from a fractured elbow and off untill I can safely drive again. But a very local location is still walkable for me and with a sunrise a stunning as this mornings all my aches and pains diminished just a little.
Taken near to me with the trees that i have included a few times with other crops during the years..
Looks very similar to rape seed oil as it does appear in April.
I did take a few over a period this afternoon but liked the sky in this one.
UPDATE Confirmed as Oil Rape Seed
While not surprised, I was saddened last week when it was announced that the BNSF would acquire the Montana Rail Link (MRL). I made a few trips to visit the railroad, usually with Mike Danneman, and quickly became a fan. The big attractions were vintage locomotives, friendly employees and superb scenery.
