Canis lupus tundrorum.
My horse lady friends of The Hidden Valley Wild Horse Association call this stallion 'Lobo', so that's what I'll call him too. I usually come up with my own name, or go by what my kids name them, but sometimes it's hard work coming up with something fitting.
Anywho, he has about 12 in his group, and everyone knows they'd better pay attention when he goes into roundup mode, as seen above, or they're gonna get a big ol' bite on the butt!!! He's AWESOME like that :)

Lobo conked out soon after we arrived back at camp.
The dew started settling heavily before the sun even went down. It was pretty wild. By morning, everything in camp was soaking wet, yet there was no fog at all. In fact, it was a pretty clear night. This is about 2½ miles from the seashore.
Some mornings I will go out into my back yard (I live two miles from the beach) and water will be pouring down like rain from the huge sycamore next door. I had long assumed this meant that fog had come through in the night, but I now realize fog isn't needed to deposit such high volumes of moisture onto surfaces.
