Câmara de Lobos è un comune, parrocchia e città della costa centro-meridionale dell'isola di Madeira. Tecnicamente un sobborgo della capitale molto più grande di Funchal, è uno dei centri abitati più grandi e un'estensione dell'economia di Funchal.

Westbound leaving London, Ontario we find CP SD40 5557 nearing the east siding switch at Lobo. Still in wonderful candy stripes and sporting brand new ditch lights, however still retaining thoses horrible original number boards - January 9, 1977.
No idea why I never posted this before.
Unfinished mural but so good. I need to go back to see if the artist finished it.

FAUNA: Dado que el acantilado es el paisaje característico del Parque lo más representativo es el buitre Leonado. Sin embargo existen otras especies, tales como el águila real, águila pescadora, águila culebrera, halcón peregrino, azor, milano, ratonero, cernícalo, especies propias de ríos y arroyos tales como el ánade real, martín pescador, etc. en cuanto a rapaces diurnas. De las nocturnas destacan: El búho real, búho chico, lechuza, cárabo, mochuelo, etc. Los mamíferos más frecuentes son el corzo, el jabalí, conejo, ardilla, liebre, zorro, garduña y comadreja. La representación en cuanto a anfibios y reptiles puede ir encabezada por las especies de víbora existentes, seguidas por un sinfín de especies de culebras de agua, lagartos, lagartijas y ranas.
Bird Island at Point Lobos is a gathering point for brown pelicans and cormorants.

Este gran mamífero marino que, por lo general, vive en el agua al estar su alimentación basada en peces, también necesita salir a tierra a procrear. Sus extremidades, transformadas en aletas para ganar agilidad en el agua, les permiten unos torpes movimientos en el medio terrestre. Tienen una gruesa capa de pelo impermeable y otra subcutánea de grasa, lo que les permite conservar el calor en ambientes fríos. Los machos de lobos marinos llegan a medir casi tres metros de largo, y presentan pelo más largo y robusto alrededor de la cabeza. Se encuentra a lo largo de toda la costa chilena.
