Liminal Space .

Well last week I was away in Wiltshire when Stoker posted the challenge and once I got my head around the subject I knew what I wanted to capture . This was our last night there and by the morning the corridor here would have been full of cleaners linen trollies - up to six we counted one morning , so I had to grab the shot there and then - thanks Stoker for the prompt posting of the challenge !!

Try negotiating the corridor with all the cleaner's trollies while pushing a wheelchair !! First morning involved cleaners backing trollies into rooms as we made our way along the corridor - a Liminal Nightmare !! After that it was suggested that we exit via the fire escape door ( right at the end on the left !! ) . Believe it or not it seems lately that the disabled rooms with a wet room bathroom are just about as far as one can get from the reception and the main way in or out - there must be logic in there some where , the only one I can think of is because of the extra space required for the room .

The slightly offset view is down to the fact that I placed the camera to get a steady capture against a fire door jam like the one seen halfway along the corridor .

So as one could imagine , I got to know this liminal corridor very well , especially as we do not travel light either !

A later idea for liminal space came in the form of standing in a tunnel with the light at the end of the tunnel - a liminal journey in a physical manner or a journey within the mind as a black time heads towards a brighter time ! Not having any tunnels to hand to stand in , this image ( seen in the first comment box ) was quickly put together in a few minutes in ---"My Craft Studio " a card crafting programme !!

Walk down this liminal corridor by looking at the image large !!

The other day my wife saw me walking towards her and she commented that my head seemed to be on a swivel - looking at everything around me. That's especially true on a dark and foggy night when your spider senses awaken.
