Batgirl's Librarianship
Barbara Gordon, the niece and adopted daughter of Police Commissioner Jim Gordon, graduated summa cum laude from Gotham State University with a degree in Library and Information Scienc. After graduating, she became the head reference librarian at Gotham Public Library.
The librarian transformation into Batgirl happened one night on her way to the policemen's masquerade ball. Dressed in a homemade "Batgirl," costume, she accidentally encountered the villain Killer Moth and foiled his attempt to kidnap wealthy Bruce Wayne. Barbara enjoyed the thrill and risk of crime fighting, and after modifying her motorcycle to create the Batcycle, Batgirl was born.
~ Alison Hall, "Behind the Bun, or Batgirl was a Librarian "
I wanted to get a shot where she was pushing her glasses up her nose with her finger, and I also wanted to get a rearview to show off Liesel's thong panties. One of these was more successful than the other.
The TOC says, you can ONLY thumb through ONE of these lusty Librarians! So who's decimals will you defile? 1) 100-199 2) 300-399 3) 500-599 4) 700-799 ?
More of Jillian as a librarian fairy, who discovered a book in Special Collections that revealed a whole new world of actual magic and actual fairies to her.
To be fair, I know librarian type people who will totally dress like this. We just forgot our Fairy Handbook. :(
#strobist details: Catching the sun just as it's setting, a Neewer NW-581 to the left triggered by the Phottix Ares into a white bounce umbrella.
In the Cancun underwater museum one of the figures is a librarian with his napping dog. The bottles in the rack behind him apparently are for sending notes to people. I guess its been a while since many notes went out since the dog is napping.
Quick experiment with backdrops made from patterned paper glued to foam core boards. I have some little plastic bits I need to set up to keep the walls together, but I did this quick shot of a figure in the "room" to see how it would look.
Also need to figure out a better floor.
A little doodle before I go off to work.
I'll dedicate this one to my sister who is a librarian at the Art Institute of Chicago. :c )
