Built in XVIIc., near Turin as a monastery for the Carthusian order, hosted monks for over 200yrs.
Then it was used as a psychiatric hospital, until finally in 1978, converted to a public park and a site for several cultural events and art-shows.

L'anziana E626 311 ex FS, di proprietà LFI/TFT (La Ferroviaria Italiana/Trasporto Ferroviario Toscano), effettua un servizio regolare su rete sociale, trainando la tradotta merci di prefabbricati "Baraclit" da Bibbiena ad Arezzo, qui in transito presso Baciano in una mattina di settembre. Una volta giunto ad Arezzo, proseguirà alla volta di Domodossola con trazione DB Schenker Italia.

The monsoon rains in Mumbai in June and July 2019 were the worst storms in decades. This picture was taken at midnight at Mumbai airport. I had to wait for my taxi and took refuge from the rain to nearby Starbucks.

Un Elfo nei vecchi colori TFT corre alle ultime luci del giorno verso Sinalunga.
A Train called "Elfo" on the old TFT livery, runs at the last light of day towards Sinalunga.
This architectural work of art is a unique meeting place for residents, students and visitors. The imposing building is located on a spot formerly known as ‘Waalse Krook’, next to a bend or crook in the River Scheldt, where coal from Wallonia used to be unloaded from barges - Brabantdam, Ghent, Belgium
This is a reposting of a photograph I took in Chicago in 2012. Today I was notified by Leica Fotografie International (LFI) in Hamburg, Germany, that this photograph will be featured in an upcoming issue of LFI Magazine. It's a huge honor for me to have a photograph featured in the Lightbox section of an international photography magazine with the stature of LFI.

Transito di un locale Arezzo-Sinalunga svolto da un "Elfo" di TfT (Trasporto Ferroviario Toscano) qui ripreso poco prima della stazione di Lucignano (AR)
La capostipite delle Vectron, la E191 001 di Siemens, utilizzata per mesi su rete TFT/LFI per prove statiche e dinamiche, ora è in uso a InRail, come testimoniato da questo transito a Bagno, sulla trafficata ferrovia Bologna-Piacenza "Tradizionale" , dove fa bella mostra di sè con la sua particolare livrea in testa al treno di auto proveniente da Tarvisio e diretto a Parma. Il treno, sempre a cura di InRail, sarà terminalizzato all'autoparco di Torrile.

I keep running into this sweet ride and I've taken pics of it both times. I have other ideas for it so I hope to run into it a few more times!

In order to unload the vast quantities of cargo needed by the invasion forces without having to capture – intact! – one of the heavily defended Channel ports the Allies set up prefabricated marinas, code-named Mulberry Harbours. A total of 146 massive cement caissons were towed over from England and sunk to form two semicircular breakwaters in which floating bridge spans were moored. L'ETR252 di Fondazione FS Italiane transita, trainato dalla E626.311 di LFI, presso il castello di Poppi durante il viaggio di trasferimento dalla rimessa del treno presidenziale di Roma Termini alle OMS di Porrena, dove verranno rifatti gli interni e la parte meccanica.
