Hay Moor at Stoke St Gregory on the Somerset levels is approximately 12' below the River Tone which runs at the top of the embankment to the left of the picture. The wind powered water pump drains the water into a series of ditches and dykes which is then lifted by electric pump back into the river. In 2014 as a result of severe storms caused by climate change, the Levels suffered catastrophic flooding with many families losing their homes. Taken with a 1975 Polaroid SX-70 Land Camera model 1 on Polaroid (TIP) B+W film. 'RoidWeek Autumn 2022 Day 4, Photo 1.

Muchelney is a village on the Somerset Levels, which can become an island when heavy rains cause flooding. At these times the inhabitants travel to the nearest town, Langport, by boat to do shopping and collect mail.
Broadway Tower is a folly on Broadway Hill, near the village of Broadway, in the English county of Worcestershire, at the second-highest point of the Cotswolds. Broadway Tower's base is 1,024 feet above sea level.

New camera, with a little wifi attachment to upload direct to my iPad, so this is processed from raw in Snapseed. It was cold out on the Levels last night, waiting for the starling murmuration at Shapwick Heath, so it was good to stay put on the sofa in front of the fire looking at my shots afterwards. No murmuration pictures to follow, they were too far off, but it sure was pretty!

The timing of this shot had to be good to avoid waves hitting the camera :) It's not a shot I would have attempted before getting my D750 with its tilt screen :)
Another image taken inside the Royal Armouries in Leeds. I spotted this as we were leaving the building after a visit that has made me feel like I definitely need to go back.
The figure on the lower level is another Weta workshops sculpture, this time it is one of the nasties from the Mines of Moria scene of Lord of the Rings. (Apparently it is a cave troll.)
