This is my Pathe windup phonograph which dates from the turn of the last century. It boasts an original red horn, which is battered with age but which still belts out a fair old sound! This plays Pathe discs from the centre out, which is a bit of a novelty, and other makes from the outside in as usual.
The disc it is playing here is an orchestral version of The Teddy Bear's Pic-nic, which I wish I could share with you. There is quite a convincing growl throughout, perhaps not the kind of bear one would wish to meet in the wood! lol.
I sometimes stop and wonder what times this old machine has lived through. Several wars for sure, and, I wonder what comfort, solace and hopefully, joy it may have brought to it's companions of the day.

I took this in the Vaucluse department, a northern part of Provence when visiting an old friend. This red flowered bush, the name of which I know not, was in her driveway.

Last night I dreamt that I was arranging a female mannequin to look as though she was running.
There was an overriding sense of peace and fulfilment and it was really important that I performed this task well.
I'm sure this is a reflection of the value that I place on personal integrity and creativity.

Another photo of Rosie with a noticeable difference in the lighting on this part of the stage and with motion blur in the arm movements.
"The Dancers" is another controversial sculpture in downtown Denver, Colorado. Installed in 2003, The Dancers is a colossal 60 foot (18.3m) tall, steel and fiberglass pair of dancers, created by Johnathan Borofsky. A song, "Let's Dance", was played continuously through a series of speakers around the sculpture.
One area of controversy, as with the "Blue Bear" (in first comment below), is the $1.6 million price tag. But these gigantic sculptures are very eye-catching, generate discussion, and have many fans.
This picture, at the site of the Denver Performing Art Center, was taken from a moving car on a rainy day(note the spray kicked up behind the car in the picture).
