She let go.
She let go. Without a thought or a word, she let go.
She let go of the fear.
She let go of the judgments.
She let go of the confluence of opinions swarming around her head.
She let go of the committee of indecision within her.
She let go of all the ‘right’ reasons.
Wholly and completely, without hesitation or worry, she just let go.
She didn’t ask anyone for advice.
She didn’t read a book on how to let go.
She didn’t search the scriptures.
She just let go.
She let go of all of the memories that held her back.
She let go of all of the anxiety that kept her from moving forward.
She let go of the planning and all of the calculations about how to do it just right.
She didn’t promise to let go.
She didn’t journal about it.
She didn’t write the projected date in her Day-Timer.
She made no public announcement and put no ad in the paper.
She didn’t check the weather report or read her daily horoscope.
She just let go.
She didn’t analyze whether she should let go.
She didn’t call her friends to discuss the matter.
She didn’t do a five-step Spiritual Mind Treatment.
She didn’t call the prayer line.
She didn’t utter one word.
She just let go.
No one was around when it happened.
There was no applause or congratulations.
No one thanked her or praised her.
No one noticed a thing.
Like a leaf falling from a tree, she just let go.
There was no effort.
There was no struggle.
It wasn’t good and it wasn’t bad.
It was what it was, and it is just that.
In the space of letting go, she let it all be.
A small smile came over her face.
A light breeze blew through her.
And the sun and the moon shone forevermore…

One of the important life lessons in this house is........YOU DON'T MESS WITH THE CATS. Lucy's tail is at the top of the photo as she's sitting on the table with her head peering over the other side glaring at Emily. Emily has learned that she can practice her puppy shenanigans with everyone in the house except the cats. The cats get along with all of the dogs as long as the dogs follow the cat rules. Emily is a few days shy of 6 months old.

I have been fortunate to be REALLY busy with work. But it IS long hours, and we have cement floors. This morning I was in back complaining to Davey how my legs hurt, were tired...nag, nag, nag. Bell rings, we have a new customer set the door alarm off, I walk up to see this next customer an it is a one-legged painting contractor. Um yup Lord, Lesson understood. Grateful
These guys are easy to hear as they deliver their two-note call in a subdued tone from the tops of tree canopies. They seem to fly about languidly, but they can be hard to lay eyes on because of dense foliage.
I was able to photograph this bird three separate times, but all shots had limited light. In another, the bird was perched a bit too high.
I wish this shot were brighter, but it does show a sense of the dense tropical forest.
I spotted a Virginia Rail at Fernhill today - unusual enough as it is, but then saw the little rail underneath, learning the lessons of catching and eating a worm!

This image shows the gorgeous detail in the plumage on the upper body and head of the Lesson's motmot.
Motmots like to perch on a limb with good sight lines for spotting bugs or small rodents and lizards moving about. Once spotted, they swoop down to nab their prey in their serrated beak, then head back to one of their nearby, preferred perches. Once perched, they will often bash the insect/rodent/lizard to soften it up. Many bird species engage in this behaviour.
Like many birds with home territories, they are somewhat predictable in their movements. The individual pictured here lived on a property that was converted from a farm to a reasonably large arboretum/garden, and later into an eco lodge.
Chepstow looked a very nice town, If I had more time I would have gone in the castle, but I also wanted to go to the river.
Beautifully preserved Chepstow Castle stretches out along a limestone cliff above the River Wye like a history lesson in stone.
There’s no better place in Britain to see how castles gradually evolved to cope with ever more destructive weaponry – and the grandiose ambitions of their owners. For more than six centuries Chepstow was home to some of the wealthiest and most powerful men of the medieval and Tudor ages.
Building was started in 1067 by Earl William fitz Osbern, close friend of William the Conqueror, making it one of the first Norman strongholds in Wales. In turn William Marshal (Earl of Pembroke), Roger Bigod (Earl of Norfolk) and Charles Somerset (Earl of Worcester) all made their mark before the castle declined after the Civil War.
These magnates and power-brokers were constantly on the move. Chepstow was just one residence in their vast estates – an impressive shell into which they would bring their gold and silver vessels, rich silk and brightly painted furniture.

First about the watch:
This is a vintage (mid 1970ties) Chinese wrist watch Seagull (海鸥) ST5-D (29J automatic movement). It came with original manual and original bracelet, but shown here on a steel mesh bracelet.
Nice silver pie pan dial.
The ST5-D was the first indigenous Chinese automatic movement, made by the Tianjin Watch Factory (天津手表厂).
That pocket dictionary used as a prop is not too good, but it has the character 表 at the right place for the photo.
Now for your Chinese lesson:
The character 表 biǎo has many meanings, more than given in that dictionary, most usage in a technical context is for anything with a dial. Depending what other characters it is combined with one gets the actual meaning.
Examples:
表带 biǎo dài watchband
手表 shǒubiǎo wristwatch
钟表 zhōngbiǎo clock
压力表 yālì biǎo pressure gauge
高度表 gāodù biǎo altimeter

Immature Red-tailed hawk entered territory nest of Bald Eagles
The hawk was able to fly away while I was watching (I enlarged the photos) and after that I didn't see any blood on its body, after the Bald eagle's claws, anything could have happened.
