Today I present to you my contribution to EmpireLUG's train layout displayed at Brickworld Chicago 2022. Combined with @brickbuilderstudios 's sections, we made the "futuristic"/cyberpunk area of the layout. This is the first of two buildings that make up my entire contribution.
This was a quite challenging build as it was designed and built i between all three North American countries and had to come apart in sections to fit in two simple suitcases.
I hope you like it and stay tuned for the second building which I'll be posting in the upcoming days (that one was nominated for best small building :D)

Combined with @brickbuilderstudios 's sections, we made the "futuristic"/cyberpunk area of the layout. This is the second of the two buildings that make up my entire contribution. This building was actually nominated for the "Best Small Building" award category at this past Brickworld Chicago.

Here it is, the winner of the Brick Train Awards Best Structure for North America, the St James Frisco Depot. It took about three weeks of on and off building and lots of fiddling, kragle, and pieces.
Some history of the depot: The railroad depot at St. James, Missouri, used by the St. Louis-San Francisco Railway Company. In 1839 Samuel Massey met with other Missourians at a Railroad Convention in St. Louis and planned a railroad from St. Louis to the Maramec Iron Works in St. James. On July 4, 1860 the first train arrived.
I used the floor plans available to plan out the sections of the building, and had to use knowledge of Frisco depots during the era to get the correct colors of the depot.
Tackling my first big original MOC in fine scale since the Atlantic.
Using a mixture of new techniques from Block Junction MOCs and album stalking, I’m trying hard to get my proportions down without too much compensation for r56 curves. So far it’s promising!
"The Abenstedt Express is the premiere rail line connecting the most northern parts of our great nation to the east. Sit back and enjoy the scenic beauty. Next stop, Edendahl."
This is the first train I've built so I know some things in the locomotive wouldn't be true to life but I think it looks good enough. I took a lot of inspiration from the recently released Hogwarts Express but I wanted to still have it be compatible with the regular tracks. I wanted to have the locomotion be functional but it's difficult to model digitally, so it might be part of a future physical project.
This is part of a bigger MOC I'll be uploading tomorrow. It has taken me roughly a month of work on and off to complete and this train was the final addition.
This is my first time using Foxtransfers on any lego model, and I have to say I'm very impressed.
Using 0 gauge decals seems to be the right size, I'm not a massive fan of excessive trimline tape but just by putting these numbers on it almost feels like a different model! Once I've done the other side I'll get some photos of it sitting on a more scenic area
The subway is a place where mundane meets magic; where weird and wonderful things happen.
Built for the IDEAS LEGO House contest, catagory "Minifigure". I got inspired by the viral Youtube video "Two Total Strangers Have Saxophone Battle on NYC Subway Train". I really enjoyed making this quirky build, and I hope it brings a smile to your face as well. :)

The city has grown around the railroad and the Brickester City Council has decided to expand the station, preserving and restoring the old facade and covering the old hall with a new iron and glass structure.
This newly-restored station has quickly become the most important meeting point in the city. Thousands of people pass through every day. Some patiently await the journey home, others rush by to get to work on time, some people-watch with curiosity, whilst some anxiously anticipate the too-slow arrival of a loved one. Yet others carry all their worldly belongings in a suitcase ready to embark the train to a new life.

Prilim version of the Eads Bridge. Two track wide. Hope to bring this to BrickCon Seatttle next month. Made with altBricks girder elements.
A quick up-to-date photo of the mystery engine with the glowing fire.
This is my first model of a British locomotive that isn't modeled off of a preserved example, which I don't see done very often.
The decision to make this particular model was rather spontaneous...I hadn't made a proper locomotive model in some time, and I got tired of choosing and taking too long, and I just decided to try this one out. The goal was a regular suburban NE tank engine that made it into BR days. A pretty simple guideline. This does mean that when the model is complete, it will be decked out in a handsome BR-lined black livery.
Seeing as I'm so close to finishing the model, I thought I might as well finish it and share it. Need to work on cab detailing then the rear bunker.
More to come soon.
After a fairly long break between engines, I've managed to get a new one built in about a week after finishing the design!
This is a Southern Railway's School's Class, more specifically 30913, 'Christ's Hospital' (nameplates and printed bricks pending).
It ran this weekend at the Discovery Lego Show and ran perfectly first time!
I'm really happy with it so far, got a few minor additions still to make and I need to put some more weight into the rear of the boiler.
Part of Spotykalnia 2021 exhibition (24-25 April) covering train station and surroundings. Main buildings inspired by Gdańsk Główny PKP train station. Water tower just an improvisation. Signal tower inspired by Warszawa Zachodnia building.

PKP WM10L. Lightweight diesel rail truck used on Polish railways since 1970's (not sure about the start date) till now. There were many cab and equipment versions multiplied by local train depots modifications done over the time.
My first model of this truck appeared in 2007 and since then wasn't really changed. Once I realized that the model is something like 12 years old and it served on _every_ display I showed my train station diorama I thought it deserves a refresh.
I changed the cab to the long version (the fancy window next to doors), modified the roof, doors, crane, platform and some details.

Now with tender!
Still lacking all the piping and greeble details because my parcel got lost in transit..
One of my reasons for building British Locos has always been liveries. Just so many fantastic options for color and display.
I’ve tackled building in multiple liveries in the past, but now with a few years of building experience under belt, I really want to try some old builds again (like the pannier, the N7) and see how big this Trainbow can get :) I’ve got ideas for dark brown, lime, purple, and light blue. But any other ideas y’all can think of please let me know! (I need an idea for yellow or tan!)
Trying to get more reflective plastic looking tape to make the boiler taper more realistic and seamless.
Still figuring out how to fit the lights, speakers and motor into this..
Still needs some proportion changes, but ultimately I think its turned Out alright for a spare part build

Added lights to this section of Desert Wars. As it is located juste before the tunnel entrance, it looks quite nice.
In 2017 I got my first LEGO set in probably ten years. The new Hogwarts Express. As I was looking up how to mod it, I found SmithMovies showcase on his Hall class. The rabbit hole leading to his King was short but indulgent as I vowed to make my own.
Isaac was super helpful with his reference shots posted of the LDD model. They showed more detailed outlines of piecework to reverse engineer. Luckily I Had an easy time finding the third party elements that had been recommended, and once everything was sewn together I had my first ‘MOC’. And it’s set me deeper into the hobby than I’d have believed I’d ever be involved lol.
5 years later and a pandemic of isolation to focus on techniques and my own build style, we now have the same model bumped up in scale and repurposed so that the end product is completely my own. I know I’ve been over posting this King a lot, but there is a lot of significance for me in having completed it. Almost like it’s full circle. Idk. That’s probably more bullshit being given to the sentiment than is deserved but whatever lol. Very grateful to visually be able to see personal growth :)
A (sort of) side by side photo of my rebuilt bulleid, and 'Sir Kieth Park' at the Spa Valley Railway. SKP is leaving on Tuesday so this was one of my last chances to get such a shot
A mush-mash of design elements I found on rebrickable that I liked. No real life basis, but wanted something to stand out amongst my other vehicles
A bit late but I finally found the time to edit some of the pictures taken at Brick Show Baarn (The Netherlands) on March 8 & 9 this spring.
The quality is a bit shabby due to them being taken with my phone and the lighting is such a big hall being a bit dark.
As LLMTC we had a nice joint layout. Present were amongst others GrunnigerNL, UrbanErwin, Ties, Tamas, Joop, Stijn, Malik and Christiaan. (did I forgot someone? Nagging feeling..let me know!).
Due to me being late signing up I had limited space for Bahnhof Linderei forcing me to improvise. I left the front two tracks and some middle sections at home making it a tight fit.
Compliments to ErikEti and the rest of the organization, everything including the catering was perfectly organised! Big chance of coming back someday!
While there I met with a German father and son from Aken, had a nice chat but due to me being busy driving (sucking Bluetooth with the Buwizz devices) I forgot to exchange details. If you want to, feel free to pm me or send an email.
Apart from the station building I brought with me the following rolling stock:
Double Prussian G10 (Baureihe 57) locomotives for pulling the 25t Ardelt railway crane. Including a SSK flatcar with Henschel Brauns narrow gauge engine a further flatcar with lifting beam, a support car with coal and water and a caboose for the accompanying personnel.
Prussian P8 (Baureihe 38) in landerbahn colours sporting a gepackwagen (new model), combined post- and gepackwagen, Kaiserliche Postwagen (new model), prisoner transportcar, four-axled 1st and 2nd class compartment coach and two 3 axled compartment coaches.
Bavarian DXII with tank car, tank car for spirits and boxcar and my Siemens&Halske Osram boxcar
Big Thanks to HA_Bricks for providing me custom rods for the G10 steam engines and delivering them in person! Also thanks to JaapTechnic for the stickers.
In the pics you see both of the G10 at Bahnhof Linderei, The P8 passing GroningerNL his yard, the DXII underneath UrbanErwin his bridge entering Ties his heather scene, the Kaiserliche Postwagen stopping at Linderei and finally my new end section of forest with a small creek and the electrical transformer building.
Hope you enjoy!
2nd class wooden coach in Scandinavian style, scale 1/33 (rebuilt and improved version of an older MOC). Two all-new 3rd-class coaches coming soon! ;-)
