Like LORD OVERDEATH, Randall and Mudd are collaborative creations between myself and Neal, though he had a much larger role in creating these two than I. Mudd was made first as a character for his upcoming comic, BEDLAM, and Randall was first sketched at this year's BFVA. I've posted the sketches of them in the album, so you can see how many artistic liberties I took with them.
Consider none of the flavor text I've written to be canon in BEDLAM.

Enter 1994’s Saucer Scout to round out my Spyrius collection
This set felt ubiquitous as a kid. I had it, and I’m pretty sure most of my friends did too back then. It’s about as simple yet effective as LEGO can get with a spacecraft!
So for the line that gave my generation the first leg prints, with Major Kartofski, LEGO doesn’t give too much diversity among the Spyrius crew (outside of the Big One).
Enter the Spyrius-verse, anyone?
As a huge fan of Spyrius, I’m very happy to have this little set back in the collection.

The Fantail is one of the smallest craft in the Blacktron fleet, but its light weight combined with large thrusters give it impressive acceleration and maneuverability.
It was designed to serve as a more controllable equivalent to an escape pod, so pilot comfort wasn't a priority, but it's a tough little craft that should at least get you to the nearest moon in one piece.
This lighthouse has stood watch over this harbour for centuries; a solid monolith carved from the surrounding rocks, casting a reassuring gaze and providing safe passage for many a passing ship.
Nice medium sized set.

After being retired from scientific service, the research vessel 'Novaangliae' had its cargo bay removed and was converted into a sightseeing craft.
Touring the system at a leisurely pace, the Acutorostrata allows guests to take in the beautiful vistas of space in comfort and style.
Bonus fact: 'acutorostrata' comes from the scientific name for the northern or common minke whale.
A long time ago, a colossal creature was found on the ground, having fallen from the sky. Soon, he was imprisoned deep underground, and his blood was used for occult rituals.
But one day, the chains that bound him loosened...

Its simple and sturdy design mean it is reliable and easy to repair, and it is affordable enough for every astronaut to have one!

A tough, reliable Viper, mostly used as escort vehicles for larger ships or VIPs.
This is a long-overdue update on a very old MOC of mine. I recently got this lovely trans-yellow canopy piece which inspired me to revisit this build. Just about squeezing a couple of shots in for NnoVVember!

This time of year always gets me in the mood to rewatch the HP series.
Here is my latest build, testing out the New Studio! Hoping for slightly higher production values going forward, (still need to steam the blue screen).
I really like how this looks.
I don’t go out of my way too often for HP sets, I don’t have room for a giant ever-growing castle, but I really like some of their individual “home spaces”. The most recent Burrow (#75980) was excellent, and this townhouse is looking like my favorite HP dwelling for 2022.
The gimmick is great, works well, and allows for figures to be displayed in most of the area without interfering with the transformation.
Figure selection is large and great. All are printed well with detail, save Mrs. Weasley. Her orange pajamas jumpsuit looks off to me?
All come with accessories (even two distinct hair pieces for Tonks), and there are more than enough cups/goblets to go around.
The build was fairly straightforward “building building”, broken up nicely into little sections. Some details were heavily reliable on stickers, but it’s an 8+ set, these things are expected.
I think this could easily be converted to a modular (minus the transformation) that would look really good in any LEGO City.

War! The treacherous Blacktron factions have launched an assault on the research station at Outpost CL5-C. As the peaceful explorers battle to save their work and their homes, they face fierce aggression from the invaders.
The LL 147 "Thunderbolt" is the reliable workhorse of the Classic fleet, with its ease of use and tough protective armour. However, the Blacktron Manta is more nimble, and packs a lot of firepower.
Who will emerge victorious from this skirmish in the stars?

These tiny old sets were heavy on cool intricate prints. All about the minifigs here, but the V-Wing has some really fun classic space elements and shaping!
‘97 picks up with leg printing, which hadn’t been seen in a space theme since ‘94s Spyrius droid, Major Kartofski. And we’ll see leg prints on their human counterparts next time I look at RoboForce.

The Novaangliae, also known affectionately as 'Humpback' or 'Old Humpback', is a long-range, interplanetary research vessel primarily used to examine newly-discovered systems from a safe distance.
Built by the famous Trotters Shipyards in the Porcyn System, this craft measures approximately 105 studs in length, and features heavy-duty depleted octanonium thrusters, long-range communication equipment, and a large cargo bay that can hold a variety of items from fuel cores to archaeological relics.
The Novaeangliae is usually flown by a crew of 9, with 2 pig pilots and frogs filling all other positions from captain to cook.

SHIPtember '21 is done! I'm not as happy with this build as I'd like to be, but I'm glad that I took on the challenge again and actually got it finished in time. Hopefully the next time will be even better!

Great angles and use of storage space for a medium sized ship. Neon elements practically glow in the sun!

Hey Flickr, it's been a while! The white Panther is a model I first built years ago, back when LEGO still had the 'DesignByMe' thing running. It was based on the old default Digital Designer car which I made some modifications too.
I've been meaning to give it a bit of a refresh for a long time now, and while I was doing it I thought I'd build another one to go with it. So there you have it. I'm pleased with the results, especially the hardtop one. I'll probably make some more variations based on this platform now, because it's pretty cool and I could see a few directions I could take with it.
