Educators are invited to the Legoengineering Educators Conference on The 4th Floor of the Downtown Chattanooga Public Library on Saturday, June 7 2014 from 8:30am until 4:00pm.

42 educators attended from throughout the Hamilton County Education system.

LEGOengineering is developed by the Tufts Center for Engineering Education and Outreach (CEEO), with the support of LEGO Education and innovative teachers from around the globe, including the Engineering Design Group Educators (EDGE).

The mission of LEGOengineering is to inspire and support teachers in bringing LEGO-based engineering to all students.

Westbrook ES - Class: Robo Challenge.

This student has learned that adjacent gears turn in opposite directions, which comes in handy when you're building jaws or looking for a scissoring motion!

My LEGO take on the Mil Mi-12, the world’s biggest helicopter. The five-bladed rotors and struts were especially tricky to recreate, but I loved the challenge.

Just finished another amazing design from the OneKitProjects.com. A great website full of free designs created from Dave Parker using just the LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor Kit. I already did some of the models and can tell, they are great, has detailed instructions and kids love it.

It´s a 4 Motor Arm Robot with three different programs providing three different ways to control the arm:

- autonomous mode;

- app remote control mode;

- gyro-controlled mode.

For this build, I only changed the color scheme, all the rest are from Dave´s design.

I combined a lot of of pieces for this version. This beatifull turquoise blue from LEGO Education BricQ Motion Prime 45400, some yellow from the LEGO Technic Heavy-Duty Excavator 42121, a tons of shades of grey (i love it) from the LEGO Education NXT Expansion, and of course, the eletronics from the LEGO Mindstorms Robot Inventor 51515.
