He Is Risen!
Luke 24:6-7
"6 He is not here, but has risen. Remember how he told you, while he was still in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men and be crucified and on the third day rise.”
My final build for Easter this year! Hope everyone is having a great day, remembering the death of Jesus, and especially his resurrection and the free salvation he offers through his son.
As far as this build goes, well, not too happy with how it turned out. I only had about 4hrs of non stop building on this one, and the rockwork turned out pretty poor. Let me know what you think of the rushed rockwork technique I came up with for this build.
More stuff coming relatively soon! Leave a like and drop a comment.
Isaiah 53:3-9 ESV
"3 He was despised and rejected by men,
a man of sorrows and acquainted with grief;
and as one from whom men hide their faces
he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he has borne our griefs
and carried our sorrows;
yet we esteemed him stricken,
smitten by God, and afflicted.
5 But he was pierced for our transgressions;
he was crushed for our iniquities;
upon him was the chastisement that brought us peace,
and with his wounds we are healed.
6 All we like sheep have gone astray;
we have turned—every one—to his own way;
and the Lord has laid on him
the iniquity of us all.
7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted,
yet he opened not his mouth;
like a lamb that is led to the slaughter,
and like a sheep that before its shearers is silent,
so he opened not his mouth.
8 By oppression and judgment he was taken away;
and as for his generation, who considered
that he was cut off out of the land of the living,
stricken for the transgression of my people?
9 And they made his grave with the wicked
and with a rich man in his death,
although he had done no violence,
and there was no deceit in his mouth."
My first Easter build of 2021! Next part will be the resurrection and the empty tomb. Comment below what you thought of this build.
Built for a 30 minute LUG speed-build, where the theme was anything ‘Easter’. I decided to build the empty tomb, which is something I’ve wanted to try my hand at for a while now. I’m pretty happy with how it turned out, considering the time restraints.

First entry for the 1. April Iron Builder
against Eero. The seed part is way too obvious.
Not sure what to think about the element. I don't have anything against big parts or Duplo parts, but the fact that it is not completely new to IB makes it less interesting.
Will be tough to stay motivated the whole month.

I hope everyone has a Happy Easter!
Darth Vader takes the kids for an Easter Egg hunt on Scarif, before it was destroyed :-)
When I was writing the blog post for the Toy Photographers blog, I mentioned two things: 1) I hadn't done a Skywalker Family Fun photo in a long time and 2) I hadn't felt like taking a photo of Leia yet. I decided it was time to do both - at the same time :-) This seemed like a good way to ease back into take photos of Leia again....

Happy Easter everyone!
I built these awhile ago but never had a chance to post ...
Huge props to Alec_D who 'collabed' with me by giving me some of those super delicious 'gross' pieces.
A fun build for the RLUG LEGO Easter Raffle. This build started with the flower, as when I saw the bottom side of the brown Duplo piece, I thought it would work nicely for the middle of one. From there, I added the vase and table, and then decided to make a little Easter basket to help fill the scene.

Jesus is alive! He beat death on the cross and redeemed us from our sins!
Luke 24:6-7
6He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee: 7‘The Son of Man must be delivered over to the hands of sinners, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.’
Have a great Resurrection day as we remember our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, who paid for us in whole with his own precious blood!

"So the soldiers took charge of Jesus. 17 Carrying his own cross, he went out to the place of the Skull (which in Aramaic is called Golgotha). 18 There they crucified him, and with him two others—one on each side and Jesus in the middle."
- John 19
Greetings all! With this weekend being the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus, I had wanted to build something for the occasion. However, being busy with school and other LEGO projects, I was afraid I wouldn't have the time. But alas, InnovaLUG had a 30 min. speedbuild with "Easter" as its category, so I had my chance to build a related scene after all.
Additionally, this serves as my entry into the RLUG/RFLM Easter Raffle.

“I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?”
-John 11:25-26
We all have a fatal disease. Sin. This is all of the wrong things that we have done, and ever will do. If we stay on this path we are headed for Hell. Yes, Heaven and Hell are REAL places. One place is total suffering, and the other is where we are meant to be; paradise. But we can't get there on our own.
Jesus Christ, God in human flesh, came to our world, and experienced what we experience. He came to redeem us. God loves us all very much, and wants to be in heaven with Him, but our sin separates us.
That's why Jesus had to die. He suffered an agonizing death, for US. Jesus was so severely beaten, that you couldn't recognize him. He was forced to carry the rough cross, on his flesh-less back and shoulders. He was held down, as long metal spikes were driven through his wrists, and feet. Here began the long suffering death of crucifixion.
Why would Jesus, a man who had done no wrong, be tortured and executed? Well, he did it for me, and you.
But, that's not the end! Jesus didn't stay dead. After three days, He rose from the dead, conquering death. All we have to do is accept this gift, and we can live with Him for eternity!

This was built to celebrate spring, and serve as an entry into the RLUG Easter Raffle. Building a modern park setting was an interesting challenge, and the Easter egg hunt allowed me to use our new eggs, and baskets.

Have you heard about the LEGOEaster campaign?
This photo has been added to a special group-album celebrating Easter, there are many great photos in there, and I encourage you to check them out.
In the meantime I've gotta say I love Easter. It just might be my favourite holiday. A chance to celebrate chocolate. Because I love chocolate. I could eat it all day long. Some days I do. Yeah, I love Easter.
Anyway, photo by me, Kale, and if you need me, I'll be eating chocolate over there.
