Completed November 2016. Oak shelf unit illuminated using LED strip lights and clear opel-frosted acrylic tops. Approximate cost of materials £160.
I promised Linda some new illuminated shelves about two years ago. I wanted the design to look simple, but construction and installation was anything but simple, particularly as I had never used LED strips before, or Acrylic. I originally wanted to use glass tops, but that would have made the whole unit much heavier and doubled the cost. The central spine hides the connecting cable.
