The Conference Center, located in Salt Lake City, Utah, is the premier meeting hall for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon Church). Completed in spring 2000, the 21,000-seat Conference Center replaced the traditional use of the nearby Salt Lake Tabernacle, built in 1868. The Conference Center is home to the world famous 360 singer Mormon Tabernacle Choir.

The cop in this picture was sitting right in front of the temple until he saw my camera, and then he took off. I thought maybe he was going to come talk to me, but we never saw him come our way (the fence kept him from coming directly toward me).

I'm curious if the LDS church was paying for the police detail, or if South Jordan taxpayers are. Also, why was he working on a Sunday - the Mormon day of rest. Even causing someone to work on Sunday is against the rules.

I'm going on another DC adventure today. This time for a tour of the National Cathedral with my sister in laws. Will catch up later.
