As he Walked the Halls of the Labryrinth Sanctum he was soon joined by one of his more faithful companions..A Three headed hound..A Cerberus he simply named Thrice. He was not as gigantic as the hounds that guarded realms..He was large mind you but a more stout hound ..The mage smiled and patted his heads one by one..then conjured a piece of meat..a hamhock..one of his favorite treats..A memory flashed as he fed each of Thrice's heads..How he found the beast..injured and then took him in..scared..vicious..he would lunge and lash at the mage..all trying not to harm or hurt the beast..when he found at one point ..the hound was obviously mistreated..abused..scared ..so with a desperate move The mage conjured a spell and created meat for him..offering the treat slowly..it snapped..and tried to fight if off each others heads..then the mage formed two more..for each maw..they ate and devoured..one after the other..until he could conjure no more..physically tired and his magic aura depleted..he knelt thinking it was going to be a fight..but then the beast came..and rested his heads one by one as a sign he trusted his new friend and soon to be master..the memory faded as he walked with him "You will meet the new apprentices..they will tend to you..and you will guard them..but do go easy..they cannot yet conjure your treats yet.."
This is my new favorite waterfall in Zion. We ended up rappelling down to the bottom but there was too much spray and water current to photograph it well. I found I liked this angle from the top the best. And of course, my brother Paul was brave to peer over the edge!
A few years ago I watched the movie Pans Labyrinth and I found so much inspiration from this movie but I was never able to bring it to life. So for this shoot I had set a goal for myself to bring my concept to life!

I've probably mentioned it before but I feel there just aren't enough mid-length hair styles on the grid, especially ones that take into account that sometimes you want to show off your earrings, too. Little Bones' Lava hair currently at Uber is perfect for this kind of look. I'm rocking my favorite toasty blonde shade in the Hot Mess color HUD.
Going for an all-white look, I knew that the Ariadne's Dress from Dead Dollz at We Love Roleplay would pair perfectly with Duncan Giano's beautiful platform Bella heels. The dress has a texture-change HUD for the wrap-around belt and comes in 3 other colors.
The Bella heels are aptly named; they are beautiful, classic, platform pumps with a delicate silver detail. Duncan has made them to fit Slink, TMP, Maitreya, and Belleza mesh body feet. You'll find them only at The Dark Style Fair and in six other lovely colors.

Botanical garden and Arboretum. Feeding some fishes of the large collection of Japanese Koi carp. Koi or more specifically Nishikigoi, literally "brocaded carp"), are colored varieties of the Amur carp (Cyprinus rubrofuscus) that are kept for decorative purposes in outdoor Koi ponds or water gardens. In Japan, the Koi is a symbol of luck, prosperity, and good fortune, and also of perseverance in the face of adversity.

Les Jardins d'Eau de Carsac - translated "The Water Gardens of Carsac", dedicated to the luxuriance of lotus, water lilies, exotic and tropical water lilies. The Three hectares of garden & lush vegetation includes a unique Aquatic labryrinth with a more than 500 meters long footbridge between aquatic flora and fauna. Also an arboretum whith frogs and dragonflies who will guide the visitors.
Take a rest at the Picnic area or visit the gift shop, nursery and aquatic garden center or enjoy feeding Japanese koi carp.

Our New Years tradition is to visit Rodeo Beach and walk the labryrinth on the bluff above the beach.

I spent the day there today, for the umpteenth time. It starts with a 100 mile drive from Kalamazoo, Michigan to Dune Park, Indiana. It's a fairly quick drive, interstate the whole way. From Dune Park, I take a commuter train to downtown Chicago. Round trip train fare is less than a day's parking downtown. The train drops me off across the street from the Art Institute. It was cloudy and dreary today, but mild, so I was able to leave the museum from time to time and walk around "the Loop" to get something to eat, have a smoke, and get some fresh, hot coffee. Then back inside to wander the labryrinth. I'll have shots of artwork to post tomorrow.
