Loki is a god in Norse mythology. Loki is in some sources the son of Fárbauti and Laufey, and the brother of Helblindi and Býleistr. By the jötunn Angrboða, Loki is the father of Hel, the wolf Fenrir, and the world serpent Jörmungandr.
By his wife Sigyn, Loki is the father of Narfi and/or Nari.
By the stallion Svaðilfari, Loki is the mother—giving birth in the form of a mare—to the eight-legged horse Sleipnir. In addition, Loki is referred to as the father of Váli in Prose Edda, though this source also refers to Odin as the father of Váli twice, and Váli is found mentioned as a Son of Loki only once.
Loki's relation with the gods varies by source; Loki sometimes assists the gods and sometimes behaves in a malicious manner towards them. Loki is a shape shifter and in separate incidents he appears in the form of a salmon, a mare, a fly, and possibly an elderly woman named Þökk (Old Norse 'thanks'). Loki's positive relations with the gods end with his role in engineering the death of the god Baldr and Loki is eventually bound by Váli with the entrails of one of his sons. In both the Poetic Edda and the Prose Edda, the goddess Skaði is responsible for placing a serpent above him while he is bound.
The serpent drips venom from above him that Sigyn collects into a bowl; however, she must empty the bowl when it is full, and the venom that drips in the meantime causes Loki to writhe in pain, thereby causing earthquakes. With the onset of Ragnarök, Loki is foretold to slip free from his bonds and to fight against the gods among the forces of the jötnar, at which time he will encounter the god Heimdallr and the two will slay each other.
Loki is referred to in the Poetic Edda, compiled in the 13th century from earlier traditional sources; the Prose Edda and Heimskringla, written in the 13th century by Snorri Sturluson; the Norwegian Rune Poems, in the poetry of skalds, and in Scandinavian folklore.
Loki may be depicted on the Snaptun Stone, the Kirkby Stephen Stone, and the Gosforth Cross. Loki's origins and role in Norse mythology, which some scholars have described as that of a trickster god, have been much debated by scholars. Loki has been depicted in or is referenced in a variety of media in modern popular culture.
I didn't put quite as much thought or effort into these as the last few in this series, but they turned out okay.
The middle is Laufey, king of the Frost Giants. To the right is a normal warrior. On the left is a girl one for some diversity, though it could be the Queen.
Story:
The Frost Giants. Towering men and women who dwell in Jotunheim, a realm where it's eternally winter. (but never Christmas)
In the olden days the Frost Giants were constantly at war with Asgard. While their size and thick skin allowed them to go up against the unmatched warriors of Asgard, they could never prevail.
But Odin's son Loki betrayed the Asgardians and began manipulating the Ice Giants to make larger strides agaisnt Asgard. If it weren't for Thor, the Warriors Three and Lady Sif, there's no telling how much damage Loki's army could have done.
Thor (2011) - The MCU Infinity Saga No. 4 from Marvel - MCU
I like Thor (2011). It's a little rough around the edges, but all the characters are really compelling and it has a distinct visual style that really works to bring those classic comics to life.

My wife treated me this concert today. I hope you recognize them. Rick Springfield is on the left while Richard Marx is on the right. They sang some good songs from the 80s. I just could believe Rick Springfield is almost 75 years old and still posseses an amazing voice. I didn't care too much about them during the 70s and 80s. I was into British classic rock and classical music most of the time. Felt like not too long ago. And now, little did I know I started to listening to Chapell Roan and Laufey.

So yesterday I tried uploading a DC character as I usually do, but for some reason it didn't upload, but anyways I made a version of Loki accurate to the avengers film, all of the gray parts are now either green, dark green, or black, I slightly edited his head to look similar to the Ragnarok head, and accurate Tesseract and Staff.

“Good. I’m glad for you. You get your hammer, and your throne, and I’ll have my books and my spells.”
“Yes, I will be chained down by responsibility, while you enjoy your freedom to roam the nine realms. But let us talk of other maters, before jealousy takes us. I hear that you have affections for Sif!”
“…Perhaps”
“Well, you should not let your heart take place of your mind. Sif is as fickle as her hair golden, and I also hear she shares a bed with another.”
“She does? Mayhap tell who this lover is?”
“Why our own brother Balder! According to Fandral, he saw a golden hair strung upon Balder’s cape, and saw the two together during his watch over the palace”
“I must be honest Thor, this news is somewhat troubling. Pray tell, where is Balder’s watch tonight?”
‘I see the fire in your eyes, brother. Do not let envy control your actions. We are kin, we must not betray this house, or it will fall.’
“Envy will not take my mind, and we are not brothers under a house. We are but placed by cruel fate by birth, or hath the all-father not told thee?”

Found weak and near death in the palace of the frost giant king. He took me upon laufey’s defeat, in hopes to raise me to bridge the two realms at war. I was to weak to be of the ice, yet to imperfect to rule over Asgard.”
“This is ridicules, brother! We shared a breast! We shared a home! We shared a bond! And you would tell me that is mute in light of the womb from which you came?”
“It is mute for the lie I was told! All my life I was raised as one of you, when I was really the monster of children’s tales and bedtime’s nightmares!”
“I would not care if you brought upon Ragnarok itself! You would still be my brother! Hath we never met, nor known each other’s name. I will not let you say as to who my kin are, and if you do speak truly, and we are not of the same blood, then let us become that this day. Unsheathe your knife, and let us bond our blood, and join as brothers true.”
“You would do this? You would share the vein with the creatures you slay for sport?”
“You are no creature, now cut the flesh and make the bond true”
Loki cuts both his and Thor’s hands, and they grasp each other’s.
“Now come, my truest brother, let us fill our mouth’s with mead, and our arms with women.”

I felt it in the pit of my sumach. It pulled me towards it. I felt the thunder.
“All-Father! There are missing weapons from the weapons vault!”
“Send a unit down to the vault, and another here. And bring me Gungnir!”
“Uhm, All-Father, Gungnir was one of the items stolen…”
“What?! How did they steal my spear?”
“We’re not sure, All-Father.”
“What else was stolen?”
“Other than Gungnir, the only item that was stolen was the-”
A blast of ice freezes the guards, and Odin. Loki steps into the throne room.
“And the Casket Of Ancient Winters. Hello, All-Father.”
“Loki, what brings you back back to the golden halls?”
“Play not these games with me, Odin! You know why I come here!”
“Ay, I do, but I’d wished It wasn’t true.”
“The time for wishful thought is done, now is the time for vengeance! Vengeance for the lie you forced on me! Vengeance for the shadow you put me in! Vengeance for the love you denied me!”
“I always loved you Loki. Hadn’t I loved you, you would have never been raised here. You would be yet another Jötunn, wandering the waists of Jotunheim, like your true father.”
“The father you murdered!?”
“I did not murder Laufey. His death came by someone more cruel than any I have known.”
“I cannot think of any more cruel than thee!”
It pulled towards me. As I ran the pull became more intense as I ran to the throne room. I knew that this day I must end the only man in the nine realms I could call brother. I called for the strength to do what must be done. What answered was thunder.
I burst into the throne room, with Loki, my brother, holding Odin’s own spear inches from his neck. I ran to him, and it came to me. When I reached out, I didn’t know what to expect, but when Mjölnir came into my grasp, I felt its power course through my body. I was lifted by the hammer, set to struck my brother. I had to hold back with all my might to not crack his skull. He was down. I had nearly killed my blood and my kin. Asgard was safe.

So, this just about wraps up the first volume of Thor. really had fun with him, and have a lot more plans, so get ready!
I finally went back to this place. I've been on my way there since I went there in august 2005 (picture from then www.flickr.com/photos/hrafnhildurlaufey/360400519/in/set-.... The place looked pretty much the same, but I was glad that someone had gone there to close all the doors. Last time there were a lot of ded birds and allso 2 life cought in the house.

Yesterday, Barney, Flynn & I went to Sutton Park in Birmingham & met up with a couple of people from tumblr - & their pups :) Barney & Ollie (the rottie) know each other but for the others, it was a 1st meeting. Luckily, they all got on well & enjoyed running around together... chasing toys, eating stuff they shouldn't, getting filthy & doing a little bit of posing!
Getting all 4 lined up in one place at one time took a bit of doing!! Everyone knew "sit" & "stay" but they were very excited about the park & meeting new dogs & people & frankly they had better things to be doing than sitting while we took photos. Barney was the 1st one put in place for this little photo shoot & by the time Flynn, Laufey & Ollie had all been rounded up & coaxed into position, he was getting bored. I did get a few shots of all of them sitting nicely but this one of Barney making his escape, about to followed by Flynn & Laufey (Ollie was happily oblivious!) made me smile ;-)

The Asgardian God of Mischief, Madness and Evil! Beware the Treachery of Loki!
Loki is one of several powerful beings from the magical realm of Asgard, who have been worshipped as gods. Odin, once the ruler of the Asgardian gods, led his subjects in a war against their enemy, the frost giants from the land of Jotunheim (one of the nine worlds of Asgard). Laufey, king of the frost giants, was slain in battle and the giants were defeated. Surveying the spoils of war, the Asgardians discovered a small Asgardian god-sized baby hidden at the giants' main fortress. The infant was Loki, whom Laufey had kept hidden due to his shame over his son's diminutive size. Odin remembered his father Bor’s dying words to adopt the son of a father killed by his hands; Odin adopted Loki into his own family, raising Loki like a son along with his biological son, Thor.
Loki- Helmet, Shackles, and Dagger: Loki is the God of Mischief, the adopted son of Odin and Frigga and brother of Thor. He is the biological son of Laufey, onetime ruler of the Frost Giants. Odin rescued the infant Loki after a battle with the Frost Giants in Jotunheim and raised the child as his own son.
Loki's helmet and dagger and the shackles that imprisoned him in the dungeons of Asgard are on loan to this exhibit to demonstrate Thor's pledge to protect the people of Earth from further threats from his brother and any other hostile forces.
