A busy day at home left little time for a photo today. I snapped this out the back door, the lattice on the deck looks like diamonds to me :-)

My dancing shoes.. that would be off my feet after one song of dancing.. in my twenties I could.. not so much any more.
A string of pylons loom down on Hawkesbury Village, serving the local power grid that supplies Coventry, Nuneaton and Bedworth.
I wanted an eerie effect whilst keeping the colour so I did a colour drain, keeping the colours on the bottom but making the top half black and white to give a darker effect.
This is a Nigella damascena, Thanks Marinyu for the name of this flower !

This large trogon is the only one in its range with a pale eye. Male is green and red with no white band separating the chest from the belly; female similar but gray-brown instead of green. Otherwise, a typical trogon with upright posture, squared-off tail, and stout yellow bill. Sits still at middle levels in trees, slowly turning head searching for prey.
