About Last Man Standing

Tim Allen will return for a fifth season as “Mike Baxter” in Last Man Standing, a show about everything that families are dealing with today – all filtered through the blunt “man’s man” comedy of an iconic American dad. Mike continues to be surrounded by forces seeking to challenge his ideas on just about everything in which he strongly believes. He tries to escape all the female drama at home in the warm, manly embrace of his job at the Outdoor Man store, a sporting goods emporium where he is marketing director. Also, he still revels in his Outdoor Man video blog, which he delightedly uses as a pulpit for his opinions and a voice to appeal to those who agree that manliness is under assault.

Last Man Standing was created by Jack Burditt. Executive producers are Matt Berry, Tim Allen, Marty Adelstein, Becky Clements, Shawn Levy, Richard Baker and Rick Messina. Last Man Standing is produced by 20th Century Fox Television. Starring: Tim Allen, Nancy Travis, Molly Ephraim, Kaitlyn Dever, Amanda Fuller, Christoph Sanders, Flynn Morrison, Hector Elizondo. On my last full day with Taylor, she and I went to Santa Monica to have lunch with my 25-year-old son, Danny, and his girlfriend, Phu. During lunch, Danny gave me his proof book of his 230-page graphic novel that he wrote and is being sold through www.heavymetal.com The excerpt from his Deviantart page that he wrote to his many followers is lengthy but I wanted you to see the extent of what my brilliant son has produced. In his own words:

----------------------

"Two and a half years later, I sit here watching a 2.7 gig PDF file of my first published book, LMS: Killbook of a Bounty Hunter upload to the printers FTP. In the following two or so weeks, I'll get visual proofs back to make sure the book is up to quality.

I'm sure everyone is like "OMG LMS WHAT? EVERY DAY WE HEAR ABOUT IT!" But to me, it's like my child.

It's been an insane journey, and I still feel like the book isn't complete, even though every page is filled from top to bottom. Will I continue to feel like this for the following months? Will I continue to think of LMS every minute of the day, like I used to? I hope so, but I hope without the stress.

In January, 2008, I painted a picture of a chick with a guitar-gun, not thinking it'd go anywhere. That girl, Alice, now has a full back story, a history, a new image, a new look, an attitude, a family, a life and a future. She, and 42 other characters, that have depth, history and roads to cross and travel for, hopefully, a long time in my life. Every day I've thought of these characters, dreamed about them, written notes down, evolved and turned into people I almost believed existed. And now I'm finished.

LMS was one of the most challenging tasks I've ever completed. It was a true test to myself as an artist, a creator and a writer. A lot of people, when they see the book, ask me:

"So who designed this for you?"

No one. No one did the type, no one did the layout, no one did the posters, the retro pictures, the food menus, clothing ads, weapon images, dossiers, manila folders, or the character renderings. This was a task I wanted to take on, by myself. A lot of people tell me that I was crazy for not having other teams help, but it wasn't about that. I wanted to see if I could pull off handfuls of styles, develop characters and take you to an alternate universe. I wanted to give readers a new take on comics and switch things up. Will this appeal to everyone? Maybe not. But is it different? Yes.

The book has everything about me inside, I've put my all into it and then some. When I say I dreamed about these characters, they're all I literally thought about. I have an email file, sent to myself, with over 1,500 emails in it containing: notes, story plot points, twists, character back stories, layouts and etc.

What's the point of this book and why didn't I just start the comic?

Because I wanted to use a tool, to develop and begin the story. I wanted you to have a key, that you would have alongside you when the comic was out, to look through and go "Oh shit, that's why Gabriel did that!" or "Oh god, he's using this weapon. Hopefully he has...oh damn, he does have that!" or for when you get to the final issue of the book, and everything comes together.

Thank you, to all of you not only supported me, but purchased the book and believed in my idea. I cannot, and never will, be able to thank you for the amazing amount of love and support you guys have given me.

Like I promised, all of the names of the people who wrote in that journal, are in the back of the book. At least 30-40 questions out of the bunches I got, are in the book. This book is for you and I hope you enjoy it.

Remember, if I can do it, anyone can. I had no college background, I did poorly in school (I suck at math and science wasn't my thing at the time). But I had perseverance and I told myself, I'd get this done no matter what. Have that attitude, and watch how far you can go."

----------------------

Danny is now in the midst of finalizing a movie, video and merchandising deal with a MAJOR movie studio. To say that I'm proud of my son is an enormous understatement.

To my sweet boy, I love you, hon. Oh, and thanks again for buying lunch. =D

We did it again - the 8bar team raced some thrilling laps at the LAST MAN STANDING by RAD RACE in March 2019. The elimination race included several demanding rounds in a very special and technical location: In Berlin we were racing on an indoor Go-Kart track!

I did the zombie walk today. During the walk, i had a little more blood(corn starch mix) on me so i looked like a zombie. In this picture, i look more like a survivor than a zombie.

The Zombie walk was a LOT of fun. I need to better plan my costume next year. It started with the "thriller dance". I didn't have the time to go for any practice sessions, so i didnt participate in it. After that the Zombie walk started. The best part of it was these 2 ppl who drove over an ambulance and the zombies started attacking it. I ll upload pictures of that soon.

It was raining today, so i didnt take my SLR out Boo. So :( about that

Thanks to the following ppl for the gorgeous stock photos -

We did it again - the 8bar team raced some thrilling laps at the LAST MAN STANDING by RAD RACE in March 2019. The elimination race included several demanding rounds in a very special and technical location: In Berlin we were racing on an indoor Go-Kart track!
