Not that anyone is asking but I have embedded the ORIGINAL below so you can see what I started with. Edited in iPhoto.
Labyrinth 1
I am fascinated by labyrinths. In the snow, you can build easily your own labyrinth! It's fun to run through together!
We don't actually have any funnel web spiders in the UK. The Sydney Funnel-web Spider (Atrax robustus) and the Northern Funnel-web Spider (Hadronyche formidabilis) are both found on the other side of the planet in Australasia. However, that doesn't stop people's imaginations running wild when they see a funnel-shaped spider web in their garden hedge. (so what bit me on the ass last year is still a mystery!!!}....¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Lol!!!!
At this time of the year, the funnel webs in our gardens are normally the work of Labyrinth spiders. Labyrinths are common, shy little critters, and being a dull grey-brown colour they go largely unnoticed. It's only when they start building their webs that they draw attention to themselves.
At one end of the web there's a funnel shaped retreat. It's this funnel which can cause people to worry unnecessarily. In fact the web is really quite a magical piece of defensive architecture, designed to protect the spiders eggs.

Games Or Game Pieces for Macro Mondays. HMM : )
I love that most of my macro Mondays shots are covered in dust! More time cleaning less time taking photos maybe : )))
'The Labyrinth'
A bit of effort and some risk involved in the capture of this. Having not seen it from this angle before, I thought the effort might be worth it. To get my position you enter through the two upper tunnels you can see in the image. It is always a little nerve racking (for me at least) as you exit the tunnel on the right having to edge around a large boulder that almost blocks your path, it is the drop and potential life threatening injury that add to the excitement and your onward journey for photographic exploration...

decided to do an old school magical edit on an outtake from a few months ago..so busy today and still so much more to be done with the holiday craziness
thanks so much for the supportive comments yesterday.. the main thing i realized is to keep in mind is that the 365 project is a personal journey.. and i should not expect everyone to be supportive or understand what it is all about.. and that my photos should come from authentic inspiration.. and also to lighten up and just enjoy the process :)
