Kuwaiti voter points to his name at a polling station in Kuwait City ahead of voting in the February 2 parliamentary elections. A total of 400,296 Kuwaiti men and women are eligible to vote to choose from among some 285 candidates, including more than 20 women candidates, for a new 50-seat parliament.

The Kuwait Towers are three towers of reinforced concrete in Kuwait City. The main tower is 187 metres high and serves as a restaurant and water tower. It also has a Viewing Sphere which rises to 123 meters above sea level and completes a full round turn every 30 minutes.
