this is my contribution for Max Kuiper's latest publication, Nuit & Noirs 3, Sacred Language.
For this issue, the contributors were asked to respond on this quote of Antonin Artaud:
“I am adding another language to the spoken language,

Finally, almost two weeks later than normal, we found some early blooming wildflowers in the woods yesterday including Spring Beauty.
Against the setting Sun, United Launch Alliance’s Atlas 5 rocket thundered off the pad at Cape Canaveral Space Force State to begin the flight of the first production satellites for Amazon’s Project Kuiper satellite internet constellation.
Five solid rocket boosters helped propel the rocket and the 27 satellites on board from Space Launch Complex 41 (SLC-41) at 7:01 p.m. EDT (2301 UTC).
Not a lot of leaf color this weekend, but this spot on the Stu Kuiper Trail around Lake Red Rock was a pleasant surprise.
The overall leaf color was not what we had hoped for on a recent walk in a wooded area near Lake Red Rock, but it was quiet and peacful, and a close look will always find something pretty.

In 1894 in the Roemer Visscherstraat in Amsterdam near the Vondelpark architect Tjeerd Kuipers built 7 houses next to each other in the styles of 7 European countries: England, The Netherlands, Russia, Italy, Spain, France and Germany.

Gourette is a winter sports resort in the French Pyrenees. It is located in the commune of Eaux-Bonnes in the département of Pyrénées-Atlantiques, on the D918 road which passes through the Col d'Aubisque mountain pass. The closest air access is Pau Pyrénées Airport. In winter, the resort offers one of the largest skiable areas in the Pyrenean chain with 30 marked pistes, and extending between 1,400 and 2,400 meters in altitude, covering about 90 hectares of mostly north-facing slopes. The area also hosts snowboarding and snowshoe trails. In 2005 the region spent over 50 million euros to improve its winter resort facilities, including trails, lifts, accommodation and other infrastructure. In summer, tourists visit the valley of the Gave d'Ossau and its lakes for sightseeing, hiking, biking, rock climbing, and mountaineering, including the ascent of Pic du Midi d'Ossau 2,884 metres. The French GR 10 hiking trail, which covers over 800 km from one end of the Pyrenees to the other, passes through the village.
We were high up in the Pyrenees at the top of the Col d'aubisque even higher at 1,750 m. The weather had been cold, cold enough for snow on the top of the mountains. The white mountain tops are reaching here higher than 2600 meters. The highest peak in the Pyrenees is 3,404 meters high. We have a splendid view on the winter sport resort Gourette.
De Pyreneeën Frans: Pyrénées, Spaans: Pirineos, Catalaans: Pirineus, Baskisch: Pirinioak zijn een gebergte, gelegen op de grens van Spanje en Frankrijk. Het gebergte strekt zich uit over ongeveer 430 kilometer, tussen de Atlantische Oceaan en de Middellandse Zee. De hoogste berg is de Aneto 3404 meter, gelegen in het uiterste noordoosten van het Spaanse Aragón. Het gebergte is ontstaan door de botsing van het Iberisch schiereiland met het Europese continent, gedurende de Alpiene orogenese, vanaf circa 50 miljoen jaar geleden tot heden. De Col d'Aubisque hierboven is een bergpas in de Franse Pyreneeën. De bergpas is vooral bekend van wielrenetappes in bijvoorbeeld de Ronde van Frankrijk. Beneden in het dal ligt het wintersport plaatsje Gourette.

The fleet of a total of 80 traditional sailing ships of different types, like clippers and sailing barges, have to pass the narrow and shallow Schuitengat which is caught in this photo.
The common seals on the sandbank don't seem to mind it.

Historie Kuiper Brandarisrace
Toen in 1994 de Brandaris op Terschelling 400 jaar bestond is Herman Brandsma gevraagd om iets te organiseren. Ter afsluiting van het jubileumjaar werd toen voor de eerste keer de Brandarisrace georganiseerd met toen al 50 schepen die allen door sponsoren gehuurd werden. Nu is het maximum aantal schepen beperkt tot 80 stuks. Meer passen echt niet in de haven in verband met de veiligheid. Nu is het al passen en meten en organisatorisch is 80 ook een maximum.
Jaap Kuiper is verweven met de watersport en draagt de Bruine Vloot een warm hart toe! De organisatie is blij met de ondersteuning van Kuiper Verzekeringen, waardoor ze onder andere mensen uit Den Haag kunnen uitnodigen voor de verwezenlijking van belangrijke zaken die betrekking hebben op de Bruine Vloot. Zo kunnen ze zien dat het een echte, grote, belangrijke bedrijfstak is waar hard en professioneel gewerkt wordt aan een bijzonder product. Dank zij de sponsor is de Kuiper Brandarisrace een groot succes en het grootste zeilevenement in de Bruine Vloot.

Heat generated by the gravitational pull of moons formed from massive collisions could extend the lifetimes of liquid water oceans beneath the surface of large icy worlds in our outer solar system, according to new NASA research. This greatly expands the number of locations where extraterrestrial life might be found, since liquid water is necessary to support known forms of life and astronomers estimate there are dozens of these worlds. These frigid worlds are found beyond the orbit of Neptune and include Pluto and its moons.

Over a year ago, the New Horizons spacecraft flew by a strange object at the edge of our solar system. Just a hazy form resembling a snowman on the day of the spacecraft’s closest approach, Arrokoth is now taking shape to be a fascinating and revelatory member of the region of the solar system beyond Neptune's orbit known as the Kuiper Belt. Untouched by the usual turmoil and impacts of most small objects, this pristinely preserved world could tell us about the earliest years of our solar system's formation.
New research published in a series of papers in Science begins to reveal Arrokoth's mysteries, including its formation, geography, composition, various basic properties and more. Scientists from NASA's Ames Research Center in California's Silicon Valley worked alongside researchers from across the world to provide a comprehensive first look at this object.
Also known as MU69, the object consists of two lobes connected by a thin "neck" and has days that run almost 16 hours, while a full orbit around the solar system takes 298 years. Its orbit lies 44 times further away from the Sun than our own Earth, and based on the craters we see across its surface, Arrokoth is estimated to be about 4 billion years old.

Originally the "Ultima Thule Mining Drone", this machine aided in construction of mining facilities near the outer reaches of the solar system in the 23rd century. When mutiny and civil war broke out across the Kuiper belt region, the drone was used in combat against the allied authorities from Earth.
The Brawler was powered by a fusion core made to support heavy loads in construction. The fusion core allowed for constant, high-intensity energy output that gave the Brawler unmatched speed and strength in battle. This, combined with a plating made of a ductile alloy which was unphased by ally weaponry, made the Brawler virtually indestructible in combat.
