Taking advantage of the Chinese New Year holidays, I drove more than 3 hours to be at this beach in Kuala Penyu district before sunset. A beach I've never been before! Lucky for me,my niece ( that person in the middle of this pic ) did the legwork and asked the locals where this place is.The locals said that the rock with the dead tree on top is at a beach called Pantai Tempurung. In real life this place is really lovely. When I got there...it was a dull as ditchwater! My photog friend who's a local gave up and left,leaving me and Rebecca there. Amazingly...within 10 minutes, all the gorgeous colours came out! I hit the jackpot again! I'm truly lucky at times. Have a great weekend folks!

one of many crumbling structures erected at seashore. The jetty connecting the hut to the beach was long gone.

It was starting to rain during this time. Perhaps the combination of the sunset and the storm clouds is what sparked of this interesting pink hued cast on everything!.

this place crowded with people fishing...during weekend.....

I've finally had a chance to start looking through Borneo photos...still haven't edited many though and not sure when I'll have the time. I leave again tomorrow for a very important trip to Oregon - not photography related for once. This trip is all about family <3

Managed to catch a bit of sunburst behind the rocky outcropping at this Batu Luang Beach, Kuala Penyu.

On 100% magnification, the image may be a wee bit blurred as the camera was mounted not on tripod but on a wobbly experimental motion slider of mine :D
