A house fire on West Hill Rd in Elmira started just after 9am. Everyone in the house did get out safe. One of the fire chiefs in Elmira stated that the fire started in the kitchen and spread, but just leaving most the damage on the first floor. Four fire departments responded to the fire with assistance, and have the fire under control in about 15mins.
