The We’re Here! gang is looking for religious symbols today. This is the Kosher Check symbol on a bag of oatmeal.
Kosher Check is a non-profit global kosher certification agency headquartered in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada
For years I had sadly passed by See's Candies in Tucson's Park Place Mall. The aroma was wonderful.
As you can see, the box has a symbol certifying that the candy is kosher. Hooray!!!

I was in Munich this week on business, hand luggage only so no SLR, I took my Canon G16 (full charge) on the chance of getting a few moments to photograph Munich.
It was sort of.. la la, la la la - la la - la la la la - la la .....
You get the picture....

Olive oil floating on a vegetable soup base. Based on my Mother's Recipe as I remember it.
This recipe is Strictly Kosher. While meat products may be added, no dairy products are included. If no meat products are added, the soup is Vegetarian and Pareve.
The soup can be vegetarian or it can be made with chicken, meatballs, and/or beef cuts.
The following recipe is for the vegetarian version.
💥 Simmer diced onions very slowly in olive oil in a large deep frying pan. Slow simmering is best to bring out all the flavor in the onions. Add garlic cloves whole or diced.
💥When the onions are clear and tinged with brown,
add diced green, red, and yellow bell pepper.
💥Add lots of water to the pot and raise the heat so the water gets hot.
💥Add your favorite vegetables to taste. For example, celery, cabbage, whole carrots, sweet potatoes, and cauliflower,
💥My mother later strained the carrots and sweet potatoes through a metal sieve by hand, with a wooden spoon. She added some soup broth to the sieve to help the veggies melt into the soup. These add colors and sweetness to the paprikash soup.
💥Add lots of chopped fresh herbs from the garden. I love parsley, basil, thyme, oregano, and rosemary. Don't chop the rosemary. you may prefer to remove the rosemary stalks later.
💥Add ground spices to taste, such as paprika: (Be careful, paprika is hot), cumin, turmeric, Middle Eastern and/or Indian curries, garlic powder, I like Mrs. Dash's salt-free herb mixes. Some are caliente which is Spanish for hot, so make sure you experiment by adding hot spices slowly and tasting.
Don't worry, you can always cool spiciness down by adding more water... Lol.
💥I like to add eggs in the shells to the bottom of the soup. Letting them cook slowly for a long time makes them brown inside the shell and gives them a smokey flavor.
You may have to gently push the eggs back down to the bottom a few times until they will remain there.

Each service department in Seasons is independently owned and operated. The former Acme Seafood & Meat counter is branded "Raskin's Fresh Fish". They had an amazing selection of delicious-looking smoked fish and fish salads, as well as fresh fish.

Seasons Kosher Supermarket has opened its largest store in the former 55,000 sq. ft. Acme space in the Styertowne Shopping Center in Clifton, NJ. Albertsons built the supermarket in 2004 to replace a classic Acme on the other side of Clifton, but the new store never caught on. It closed in February, 2015. This is the seventh Seasons Market to open in New York and New Jersey since the company was founded in 2006.
The market serves the large Orthodox Jewish population in nearby Clifton and Passaic, but since it is one of the largest Kosher supermarkets in the US, it is expected to draw shoppers from all over the New York metro area. The store closes at 5PM on Friday and is closed Saturdays.
Inside the former Acme, the Seasons folks have reused the Albertsons Marketplace package, adding graphic prints and bright colors to make the conservative decor package more modern and fun.
The Seasons company currently has plans for additional Seasons Supermarkets in the Baltimore and Cleveland metro areas.
Styertowne is a mid-century community shopping center, opened in 1952 with a Grand Union supermarket and Levy Brothers Department store as anchors. Like many early shopping plazas, it has a front, upper level and a rear lower level.
All good things must come to an end , and I head for home. In the
airport lounge I spotted this guy trying to explain to the waiter what kosher food is, but he didnt have a clue !
