TEDxMonteCarlo 2017 "License to Know" photograph by Ece KUSMAN

You know by the Bueno Christmas billboard, of course!

There's a new one every year and you might have to go looking for it, it's not usually in the same place.

"♪ All I want for Christmas is my Red Chile, my Red Chile, my Red Chile...♫"

Know where to find the sunrise and sunset times and note how the sky looks at those times, at least once.

You know how I said that I didn't have to go out of my way to look for a cat to adopt?

Well, today I met Simon and Floydd. They were in DESPERATE need of a home. The rescue that they came from is full to capacity. The only place they could find for these two was in a small cramped cage in the back of a small pet store. Twice somebody had filled out paperwork to adopt them, but then never showed up to take them.

Larry and I had been talking about finding a companion cat for Leo, since Bella and Alex are so much older and Stella and May are not interested in being his buddy.

Of course it was only my intention to adopt one cat, but Simon and Floydd had become pretty good buddies in that small cramped cage, even though they are not litter mates. I hated to separate them.

So meet the newest members of Cat Hill Farms.

Both have been to the vets and have a clean bill of health. They have had their first round of shots and both have been neutered, so there will be no heartbreaking ending to this story.

Simon here is about 6 months old. He was just neutered yesterday and is still taking it easy. He is very shy and I think it will take some time for him to feel comfortable, Floydd is the complete opposite.....very friendly, and not afraid of anything! I'm hoping that he'll help Simon here make an easy transition.

Welcome to GBRF's Noah's Arc Charity Railtour. Photographed on Sunday, August 9, 2015. The "Noah's Arc" is seen here at Newcastle's Central Station. During it's time at Newcastle the train changed locomotives. 47812 and 47843 hauled the train from Glasgow Central. 66701 and 66736 will take the train to Doncaster. Another locomotive change is proposed at Doncaster involving Class 20's, These will take the train to Crewe. At the time of writing this, I don't know if that was reality.

In this video Alex Arrash Ariana is explaining you details about How Office Life is deteriorating your Health. Since childhood only, we think office life to be a great life. We used to picture it as some white collar people sitting on chairs looking into some documents and someone paying paychecks to them. But when we get into a job, we come to terms with reality. The same fascinating office life seems extremely cruel to us except the “paychecks” part. To be frank a typical office life contains some work (which is not exactly “some” for us), a deadline (which is too near), and constant pressure from all sides and yes a handsome salary (that too not handsome for everyone). Alex ariana, alex arrash ariana, briton alex arrash ariana believes you must maintain the work-life balance & don’t put much stress on your life due to office.

I don't know if anyone ever reads my descriptions, but I write them anyway, so there!!

Was out today (August 20th 2021) on a forced vacation day, from 9:30AM til' almost 4PM. 80F today but it felt like 100F. This is a very active line and I probably flicked 20 freights today. 750+ flicks. By the time I get rid of a few duplicates, and bad ones, I'm guessing it'll be about 700 +/-. 700 to straighten, fix any color issues, upload, and also ID the writers. It's lots of time and as you can imagine, it's a lot of work, but so far it's been fun. I'm trying to not rush myself to post before I'm ready. I already have the flicks, and they're timeless. So getting them posted ASAP!!!!!! is not really my concern. Duh..

Had an interesting interaction with a guy while out there. Guy with backpack had walked back and forth across the tracks a few times. The lat time I saw him he was on the other side of a set, about 100 yards away. Next thing you know he's coming closer..... Closer..... And I'm like WTF? I'm way out here minding my own business. He walks within' like 10 ft. of me and I say "How ya' doin'?" he says something, and then says "Trains?" and I say "Yep." and he says "Oh.." and walks away. I think he was feelin' me out, as there's a small population of people who's homes are shall I say, mobile. I've talked to a few of them, and have never had a bad interaction, I just don't like people walkin' up on me when I'm trying to get away from the rest of the world out by the tracks. I go out there to get away from people, not to interact.

======================

I follow some other amazing photographers on flickr, but for this I will talk about the ones who flick the freights. There are a few that I really love. Some it's because of the great locations they shoot at, and others it's the amazing little details they manage to capture. For me (right now) I don't have the luxury of walking the lines and seeing pieces static. 99.999% of my flicks the freight is rolling by at 10-50 mph and sometimes I don't really even know what I have until I get home, dump the memory cards and go through the photos. Because of this, most of my flicks are just straight on shots and documenting what I saw and where. I saw this freight here, on this date, here's what was on it, and i captured it. Buffed or scraped next week, well I have it on "film" for future generations (sounds corny, I know). There are times when a freight will stop in-front of me, and I'll walk up and get some shots of monikers, but it's rare.

Obviously in any area there are sidings where freights park for extended periods, I know a few spots, but as I get older, and older, do I really want to leave my car parked on the side of the road and walk 2 miles to capture some little details I might normally miss? I'd love to, but it's just not practical for me at this time, any many other people do it better than I could. Retirement is getting closer every day, maybe then, when my weekdays are free. :-)

======================

During the Covid lockdown, I was working from home, and I was getting out benching like 2 & 3 times a month. Back at work, I'm lucky to have the energy to get out once a month. Every time I do manage to get out, I come home and my batteries feel re-charged. It's been so f-ing hot here in SoCal though, I can't wait for cooler weather and some clouds in the sky.

As always, thanks to the writers!

Ver 1 :

Hook2

tiền ừ có lẽ nó mua đc tất cả mọi thứ

tiền đối vs em mua đc thêm cả tình yêu chứ

tiền nó có thể thay đổi quá khứ lẫn tương lai

đúng thành sai ai cũng vậy ko riêng ai

Mr. Noze knows something you don't....

To know what he knows

Stare at his nose you won't

But take him home and lend him an ear

And Mr. Noze will be clear...

The truth shall be near!

I hope you will forgive my weak poetry skills and appreciate this funny little fellow... who knows a lot about a lot!

If patient you are, a secret to you he will reveal ;)

This character plush was all hand sewn by me, Hibou, with great attention to details and much love. I use a wool blend felt and embroidery cotton thread of the best quality (DMC cotton perle).

All I know about photography can be traced back to my girl PG. She has taken me from barely knowing what an exposure is, to where I am today. If you like any of my work you can thank Picture.Girl for it. Thank You Baby Love....

The mother knows i am there. Picture taken last spring. I kept at least 40m away so as not to disturb,

Infact with out the camera and tripod I wouldnt have spotted her .

Note the chick eating the shell. I must have watch for about an hour .Fantastic way to waste your spare time

You know little sunflower seeds, I had given up on you and you were all going to the trash this weekend. Guess they showed me huh.

(I've been watering a dozen eggshells with sunflower seeds for what feels like a month, with no results until today...two tiny seedlings out of the dozen!)

Original inspiration here:

Why yes, it did take me that long to finally save a dozen shells that I didn't obliterate in breaking them for cooking, wait for planting season so there were seeds to buy, get the seeds, and actually plant them. ^^

Do you know the origin of how this sign is formed to be "I Love You"? The pinky is the letter "I", the index and thumb form the letter "L", and the thumb and pinky form a "Y". ILY stands for I love you. Cliche, I know, but thought with added bokeh it might pass.

30 days of Gratitude - Even though I have occasionally suffered from burn out, I am grateful for my proficiency in the language of sign.

From last night's show at The Know in Portland, OR. Public Eye, Behavior, Dreamdecay, and Numbered all played great sets to a nearly full room.

I know I have not uploaded in months! (Make that 6 months!) Well thats because I have been busy with my FYP (Final Year Project).

I embarked on a fashion photography assignment to resolve the social stigma regarding women being underestimated.

Through my project, I aim to instill confidence and inspiration in women through my images which portray women in a more powerful light. and also create a visual difference as to how the women portrayed in my images are unlike what society expects them to be.

Enjoy my series! :)

Smoking. This annoys me 'cuz I know it's bad for me, I can see what colour my lungs must be turning, my fingers and teeth could be turning, I hate the smell of it, I hate the price of it...yet....I smoke. Still not regularily, never in the house. But still...I do....and I don't need to. My life decisions do frustrate me.
